After booking we were switched to a comparable property in the same location. It was beautiful and comfortable and worked out well.

This place is worn out and not worth the exorbitant price. the heat didn't work well, a chair at the table broke and the Lodge would not replace it, so we literally didn't have enough seats for all 6 of us at the table. The wine fridge was broken, so the Lodge brought in a small dorm fridge for our drinks, since the kitchen fridge was so small - definitely not big enough for a week stay with 6 people. We couldn't fit all our food and drinks in it that needed to be kept cold. The outlets wouldn't hold plugs so we had to "find" ones that would to plug in our devices. The kitchen was not supplied well as the pots and pans had broken handles and there were not enough cooking utensils to make meals. We would not stay here again. I would say the only 2 things I liked about it was the hotel itself and the location in proximity to the slope.

Thanks for sharing your experience. We're truly sorry to hear about the challenges you faced, from the heating issues to the broken chair and kitchen amenities. It's disappointing that the accommodations didn't meet your expectations. While we're glad you enjoyed the hotel's ambiance and the convenient location near the slopes, I assure you that we're committed to improving. We'll address these maintenance and supply concerns immediately to better serve future guests. Your feedback is invaluable, and we're dedicated to making necessary enhancements.
1. The condo was double booked for our first night, necessitating a move and a full day delay in getting settled.
2. The provisional first-night condo was ~meh and I twice had to ask the front desk to address loud thumping music directly below us - the second time at 2:30am. Ridiculous.
3. Zero effort was made to clean the actual rented unit on an expedited basis. My wife, who skis rarely and needed to work, sat in an overheated lobby for several hours while the front desk gave false hope of getting into the unit early (it was ready at 3:50, 10 minutes early).
4. The unit itself was close to 80 degrees when we entered - we turned the heat off, opened windows and the door to the deck to bring fresh air.
5. The second floor interior bedroom's a/c dd not work nor did the powered skylight - both obviously in place b/c the room otherwise has no ventilation; it was uncomfortably warm all week.
6. We kept the heat off for the entire week b/c the unit was on the warm side, perhaps in-part b/c the hallways are tremendously overheated (as is the boot room).
7. Kitchen poorly equipped - the main cooking pan’s handle was barely holding on.
To the Lodge's credit, we were provided some financial consideration for the double-booking inconvenience.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying in a RedAwning property. We look forward to hosting you again.
Great Vail location in a historic old lodge. Exceptional service as expected from The Lodge. Keep in mind that this is a very old property. But generally well maintained. This unit is great but could use some love to update old appliances and baths. Kitchen supplies are somewhat limited, but at Vail the restaurants are great so cooking probably isn’t the most important requirement. The Lodge has one of the best locations for Vail Village.
This property was gorgeous! Very spacious. The only thing I would say, our rooms were hot and stuffy at night which made it difficult to sleep.
Great location!
