Country Farm Condo w/kitchen, near 7 Feathers Casino on OR Hwy 5; Dog friendly
Don't miss the 10% discount for a 7 days or longer stay, or the 25% discount for 28 days or longer! Only one step up to enter this old fashioned "mother-in-law flat" apartment is private, quiet, family friendly, and comfortable. You can bring your under 50lb. dog for a $20 per stay fee. A queen sized brass bed with homemade quilt and soft bedding is ready to welcome you into a real old-fashioned hospitable environment that is safe and restful. A couch/bed folds out to accommodate youngsters. It is completely rural here, yet within two miles to the center of our little town. Canyonville and the 7 Feathers Indian Casino (with its restaurants) is only 8 miles away!
The second bed is a double size sofa sleeper, a hide-a-bed that is most comfortable for someone less than 90 pounds, and has its own soft bedding for dreamland excursions. The black out window shades will let you sleep until you are fully rested. There are plush robes in the closet for your use.
There is a full kitchen in this room, complete with several herbs and spices, several choices/flavors of coffee and creamer, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, pots/pans and dishes so you can choose to cook or enjoy going out to eat at the nearby 7 Feathers Casino (8 miles away) or grab some take-out at any of our several nearby restaurants. Use paper plates supplied for you, or leave the dishes - we gladly do them in our dishwasher for you!
There is cable TV and fast internet in this cozy room.
There is a McDonald's, Mexican Restaurant, Starbucks and Tesla charging station all at exit 103 on Highway 5 at the edge of town and a binder in the room with suggestions of more eateries and things to do. Bring your bubble bath if you would like to relax in the soaking bathtub.
There is quite a list of wildlife who call this property home; deer finding a meal and hiding among the trees, a flock of wild turkeys strutting about, bushy tailed squirrels chattering and chasing around, quail who nest on the ground and scramble and scurry, you can hear the Canadian geese enjoying Cow Creek bordering the property, and little red foxes in the distance to name a few. You can absolutely hear the quiet as you play a board game, assemble a puzzle, or read a book from the bookshelf.
The weather is mild here, summer nights cool down nicely. Autumn brings all colors of leaves that fall by the thousands and thousands. Winters occasionally get a decorative dusting of snow that melts off in a couple of hours, no snow plows necessary in our little town with the elevation of 800'. If you are lucky enough to be here in the spring, the flowers are stunning! Sometimes at about 11:30 at night, if you are still awake and listening carefully, the "toot toot tooooooot" of the train that comes to get the lumber from the lumber mills can be heard off in the distance.
We will welcome you into our beautiful, peaceful little corner of this amazing world, and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Thank you so much! What a delight to be your host, and you are most certainly welcome. I hope you can bring your wife in May to celebrate spring flowers with me!
You couldn't ask for a better host. Kathie was the best. She greeted us upon our arrival and gave us a complete walk through of the condo. Katie made us feel right at home. The location is very quite and not too far off a drive to the casino. The condo was spotless and the bed was comfy. She has good taste in books if you enjoy reading and had plenty of board games. I hope it's available next time we go to the casino because I'd rather stay there than at 7 Feathers Casino.

Kathie was very friendly and greeted us upon our arrival. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The only odd thing was that the owner came in and tidied up while we whete out for the day and moved some of our things arournd. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others

That swing is a fun surprise in the birch garden, isn't it? Come again in the spring, and the magnolia garden will surprise you with many colors of orange azalea blossoms, or the cherry garden with its delicate pink blossoms. Did you see the vibrant purple 💜 blossoms on the butterfly bushes? So much to see! You are welcome to come rest here and feast your eyes any season at all. We're just glad you came!
I travel extensively for work and have stayed at many vacation rentals over the past 15 years. This was by far my favorite place.I can’t put a finger on exactly why. The place is small, but that ads to the charm. Even the TV is small, but I’d rather watch the season finale of Stranger Things (which we did!!) on my laptop screen than on a big TV at another boring 5 star hotel. The country setting is beautiful even in Winter, and Riddle is a perfect example of Southern Oregon rural towns - quirky yet gorgeous. Everything you need is there. I absolutely love the turquoise bath! Kathie was a lovely host. I’ve never had a personalized welcome sign left out with my name on it. And the book of local restaurants is a nice added touch.I will definitely be back!

Perfect spot just a few miles off hwy 5. Space was clean and well maintained. The hosts were friendly and available. We visited Redwood National Park ( about 2.5-3 hour drive) and Crater Lake ( about 2.5 hour drive)

The property was clean, nice, cozy and comfortable & Kathie was very helpful. We attended a family wedding in the area and it was perfect for our quick trip. The only negative thing is we got locked out accidentally in the evening but thankfully we were able to wake up Kathie next door and she helped us get in and then let us check out a little later the next day.

Thank you for your kind words! It was a delight to have you stay with us. In the 8 years of having VRBO guests, a guest being locked out had not happened before. I genuinely am so sorry that this happened to you. It is my goal to never allow this to happen again. Thanks for being a good sport about it.

Remote, quiet location and a kind and accomodating hostesd.
I recently stayed at this charming property that felt like a hidden gem. The drive to the property is definitely a bit out in the country, so make sure to pay close attention to the driveways and address. However, once you arrive, you'll realize the journey was well worth it.The space itself is comfortable and inviting. Even though it was quite hot outside during our stay, the inside was pleasantly cool, making for a relaxing environment. We only stayed for one night, but it was a lovely experience overall. Kathie, the host, is a wonderful lady who adds a warm touch to the stay. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet retreat!

About the host
Hosted by Kathie Cameron
We are retired, and lovin' it. This quiet little place is just heaven to us, and hope you enjoy it too. We have family visitors as often as they can come from near and far. Kathie loves to putter around the gardens here at home, expresses herself in the kitchen by cooking up new recipes, and Ray loves to maintain the machines and vehicles in top shape, and keeps up on current events. Our friendships here in town mean the world to us, and we visit them and they visit us - often!
Why they chose this property
This is such a quiet, cozy place, with clean air, showcasing the amazing creation of God's unlimited imagination and love for all of us. It is a reasonably short drive to Roseburg which is our version of "the big city" with a population of about 22K people. We fully enjoy being a part of the town of Riddle, volunteering at the local elementary school, being active members of a local church, and being on first name basis with the lady behind the counter at the post office and the folks who own and run the bakery in town. Around the fourth of July, we have a wonderful festival in town, called "Sawdust Jubilee," celebrating the timber industry. Waiting at a stop sign (no stop lights in Riddle!) for three cars to pass is our version of heavy traffic. Riddle has about 1,200 population in town, and we live about 2 miles "out in the country." You are sure to enjoy it here! Plenty of room for your doggie to romp and run. We are not fenced in, so keep the leash handy.
What makes this property unique
Clean fresh air, mild weather, quiet, and peaceful. The view from your picture window is of the neatly manicured mature landscaping. There is always something flowering here except in the dead of winter, and year 'round humming birds darting to and from the feeder on the front porch, and one on the back patio too. The year 'round creek is just a short walk from your accommodation.
