Rhody Cottage is a delightful cabin for those visiting Wears' Valley and the neighboring areas of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Townsend. It is situated within 1 miles of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Rhody Cottage is an easy 30-minute drive to the famous Cades Cove Valley where wildlife abounds. Is your passion Hiking or Bicycling? If so, multiple trails are all located within 5 minutes from the cottage to Metcalf Bottoms picnic area with grilling, tubing, fishing and hiking. When your day is done come back and enjoy relaxing in the covered hot tub.

Please note for safety reasons, children are not allowed at the cabin. This is per the Owners request.

A servicable yet bare bones property

Unlike most "by Owner" property, this one is managed by a local management company. They are the middleman and as such, pass the ball if any issues arise...And they don't prioritize following up. Thankfully, I didnt have any major issues but the one I did have was left unanswered... If you do rent a cabin from Cove Mountain, you'll need to bring practically everything needed to function, right down to shampoo, ICE (or your own ice trays), towels that aren't threadbare, a dish sponge, decent kitchen tools or utensils. Everything provided was of Dollar Tree quality and functioned as such... Cleanliness was just surface level. Lots of gigantic crumbs under the sofa, dusty fixtures and dust beneath the bed and furniture. It's obvious the cabin has been well used and the fixtures, (furniture, hot tub cover, kitchen tools, towels) bear that out and are in dire need of replacement. Because of these issues, this is not a property that I would recommend to others, nor would I likely revisit.

Cottage in the mountains

The cabin was very nice and clean short distances to many places to eat, lots of very good places to shop. Very quiet sitting in the woods no close cabins over all very good.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
