The property was nice and clean, really liked the lay out of the house, communication was quick for the most part with the host. Issues we did have was the hole in the flooring in the guest house that was covered with a rug and table. So DO NOT walk through the sliding door of the guest house. Was very disappointed that our only full day of being there, the pool person came at 12:00 to clean it and put the chemicals in, so we couldn't use it until 3:00. That should have been done before we arrived so we could have used it as we wanted to. Then the lights for the pool at night, we were told would come on automatically and they did not and we did not find a switch for it or anything, so it was unusable at night. Also, the wifi was not what was listed throughout the house, you had to use the one on the back of the box. If the flooring issue is fixed, we would probably come back for our retreat again next year.

Great stay! Had plenty of room for all of us. Close to Moody Gardens and reasturants. The home was clean and smelled fresh. The only thing I wish was there was some basic spices, it is helpful when traveling by plane. Thank you for a great stay and good communications with the host.

Communication was great, home was good, but needs some TLC and the cleanliness was less than desired ( garbage under beds, patio doors had fingerprints, floors not mopped etc) but it didn’t stop us from having a wonderful time while in Galveston!

It was clearly very well built and carefully furnished to provide all you could possibly need or want for a great vacation, but many of the amenities are old, run-down, broken. The property is amazing. My family was blown away by the accommodations and the space that this property provided. There is nothing like have a smile on your face because you are headed back to a wonderful place that you were lucky enough to spend time in. The communication with the property management was excellent. We are talking about hopefully returning to the area in the future for a even bigger family get together and hoping we can once again stay in this wonderful place.

We had issues the 1st night. The bathtub has holes in it and was leaking water on the floor. There’s no way the owners didn’t know this. I texted them about this Friday night. On Sunday it rained. Water leaking from the ceiling (holes in the ceiling) while it was raining in the upstairs casino room (2 different places) and the downstairs game room. At one point and time, it started pouring in. We had to get bowls to catch the water. Floors are weak throughout the house including the apartment out back. We paid a lot of money for the place and expected more.

-Guest house: Missing front door knob. Bathroom was kinda gross, shower curtain was disgusting but house was comfortable when figured out the AC remote and was nice having a guest house!!! -Play room downstairs was AMAZING!! Kids loved all the ping pong and arcade games and the TV! This was easily the best part of the house and the part we spent a lot of time in! We did have to go get some batteries due to the remote to the AC not having a back on it when we got here and was missing a battery. -Pool table had some pool sticks that need some screwing together but overall everyone loved the pool table! The sound system by the wet bar in the room doesn’t seem to work or didn’t for us but we used the tv to play music and it worked out :) -The floors were overall not very clean. We just got here and took our shoes off and walked around and our feet got gross and were black quick. We just wore socks the rest of the time in the house and was fine just bring some house shoes or wear socks everywhere! -Barn door in the master bedroom to the bathroom is falling off the hinges. Almost came off when we tried to close it to use the bathroom. -We did run out of trash bags to use and paper towels but everything else there was plenty of! Communication with hosts was great! Super easy check in and quick communication! They were very sweet! We plan to return sometime in the next year!! -Overall a 8/10 experience at the house!!

The house itself was great and the host was responsive and our interactions via the VRBO messaging were pleasant. There were a couple of things that could be improved. There were crumbs in one of the beds upon arrival. The garbage only gets picked up on Tuesdays, so when we arrived on Friday, all the garbage cans in the driveway were full to overflowing, and quite stinky. This left us placing all our garbage in bags on the ground through the weekend. A house of this size, accommodating huge groups of people, is going to experience large amounts of waste, so hiring a waste removal company to come out more frequently than the current once per week would be wise. The a/c intake vents were badly in need of cleaning. We cleaned them ourselves because we were turned off by the black debris covering them. Frankly, the whole house was in need of a deep clean. We sort of expected shampoo and body soap for the showers, as this has been our experience in other short-term rentals, but these were not provided. It would be nice to let the guests know that these will not be provided. There was not enough toilet paper provided for our group of 22 people for 3 days. For me personally, the lack of bedside lamps in some rooms was an annoyance. Still, if you are considering this property for your large gathering, you won't be disappointed with the house if proper measures are taken to freshen up the place.

We were sadly disappointed by our stay. I’m not one to leave a review usually but I feel like people should know. We had high hopes but unfortunately it was quite run down and needs major attention and upkeep. The cleaners were there still upon check-in time and stayed for another 20 minutes but it didn’t feel very clean. The floors were gross in many places and there was cobwebs every where, a cockroach In the separate apartment, prescription drugs in the closet, mold around the kitchen sink….the list could go on. There was a lot of broken things and the air conditioner did not work well in the central bedrooms specifically. The shuffle board table was broken and not usable, the ping pong table was broken, all the pool sticks were broken, the foosball table had a broken rod, falling off toilet seats. Mosquitos were so bad you couldn’t even go outside. No doors would lock, they were all broken. Gate to the pool was broken. This was a great place for families if someone would just give it the attention it needs and deserves.

This place was terrible. Pool was never cleaned. Place was old and dirty. Really needs an upgrade. Floor has holds where someone can fall in to the sink hole. Bbq pit was old and rusty and had hole in where you put the charcoals. There dust everywhere, hair on the bathroom floor. I need full refund for this place because this place should not be safe for renting.
