We wanted to stay a quiet place that wasn’t too far from all the fun. This was perfect. We drove to Disney and Universal from the cabin and it wasn’t bad at all. The host has paid great attention to detail, and her guest book is amazing! I would highly recommend anyone staying here for relaxing, shopping and some fun!
Was Looking for a get away to disconnect with my favorite person and came across this cabin. It was better than what I expected! It was literally a picture of perfection. Everything about this cabin was fantastic! We had zero complaints, from the cabin, to the property, to the restaurants…. Everything was perfectly perfect❤️ Will definitely book again!
Lovely couple days at this cabin. 10 out of 10! Super comfortable, clean & wonderful ambiance. Would definitely recommend! Also farm fresh eggs for breakfast! Thank you so much!!!
As I have shared before, perfection is still out there if you’re able to discover it.
We love every aspect of this gem.
Wonderful ‘Super’ hosts Katherine & Bob repeat the property’s quality every time 👍
Thanks for having us again and can’t wait to return.
This was our fourth stay at this cabin. SO peaceful and charming. Easy access to The Villages and Ocala.
We had Orange Blossom Opry tickets for their Christmas show and this cabin is only a short way up the road.
Hosts are very accomodating and respond to communications quickly.
Peaceful. Quiet. Charming. Delightful.
Cabin (guesthouse) is very nice, clean, and well appointed. Host responded promptly to questions and was very nice. Loved the fresh eggs and the book detailing the history and building of the cabin. The location is just far enough from everything to be rural (i.e. quiet!) but only 10- 20 minutes from everything (Villages, Opry, Silver springs, etc). Plenty to do in the local area. We loved the screened in porch, perfect for morning coffee.
This was a great place. From the really neat cabin feel to the communication with the hosts & the convenience to the wedding we were attending. The cabin has a neat booklet all about the building of it and another picture book my kids enjoyed about Uncle Tom's hunting adventure abroad. Craftsmanship and care is shown throughout. Growing up with my dad who is a retired mason, I love and appreciate seeing quality homes that aren't cookie-cutter. The grounds were kept up and felt like we were in the middle of a storybook or one of those audio books that tell you to close your eyes & imagine somewhere to relax. Simple yet just what we were looking for.
My wife and I had long considered taking a log cabin living vacation and booked a stay at Kathy & Bob's guest house to find out what log cabin living is like.
It was beyond fantastic. The key word to describe our stay here is quiet, as it felt like a tremendously relaxed refuge from busy suburban living.
The cabin is spacious and meticulously cleaned and has a huge master shower to go along with a large shower/tub in the guest bathroom. The refrigerator also had eggs from Kathy & Bob’s chickens, and it was huge fun meeting their Jack Russell terriers Charlie and Maggie.
The two dining tables in the cabin are more than comfortable to eat at, but the front porch will be your go-to dining place, as it is a very large, fully screened area that allows you to eat while enjoying the peace and tranquility of the cabin.
That tranquility extends to the paved area of the property, as the numerous trees that surround the asphalt keep the area very cool. This allowed us to take our daily 30-to-40-minute walks despite the temperature being 90+ degrees.
Add in the incredibly comfortable multi-seat leather couch and huge 4K television and this should be your top pick if you want to experience log cabin living.
The cottage is stunning and location is close to Doe Lake Campground where we held our wedding. It was a perfect quiet place for my bridesmaids and I to get ready for the wedding at. It was amazing to have a quiet place to calm my nerves on my big day and I would recommend this cabin 1000%. The best experience I have ever had at a VRBO.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay here immensely. We will be back! A lovely cabin that you can tell was built by someone with talent. So clean and everything you need! I felt like we were in the middle of the woods with our own slice of heaven. Owners were great.
The property and house is absolutely gorgeous! It was relaxing and peaceful. There are some many state parks and springs nearby. My girls had a great time and we will definitely be returning soon.
Relaxing, fun, peaceful. Met up with brother and his wife for cards and fun.
Short drive to The Villages and Ocala for restaurants. Cooked in some. Everything was fantastic!
