Located just steps from the Mystic River, and situated only blocks from the center of this little hamlet, the Cliffside Guesthouse provides you with easy access to award-winning restaurants, world class casinos, unique shops, historic museums, and exciting attractions.

Recently constructed in June, 2017, and now new to the rental marketplace, the Cliffside Guesthouse is furnished to suit all of your vacation needs. Accommodations include a comfortable sitting area with TV and internet connections and a fully-functional kitchen with electric stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, cookware, plates, and utensils. The guesthouse also includes a beautiful separate bedroom overlooking our beautiful cliff, and a spacious bathroom including a full-sized, glass-enclosed, step-in shower and vanity. The guesthouse is centrally air-conditioned with separate controls for the living space and bedroom areas. Best of all, you will be able to open the sliding glass doors to access your own personal veranda, overlooking the town’s historic district and surrounding neighborhood gardens.
The Cliffside Guesthouse is less than two hours from Boston and New York, and only a short drive from anywhere in Connecticut. A quick walk from the train station and you will find a unique place to unwind and rediscover the pleasures of life in comfort. In Mystic, you can eat lobster at seaside lobster shacks while watching boats embark upon their world-wide destinations, play games of chance at renowned casinos, or even enjoy intimate moments along our riverside boardwalk. The famous Mystic Pizza, along with many other award-winning restaurants, is only a 10 minute walk away, and the Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium are readily accessible. Or walk or bike along River Road, Connecticut’s first designated Scenic Roadway. Watch Hill, Westerly, Misquamicut Beach, and Newport, Rhode Island are all only a short drive away.

Accommodations include walking distance to downtown Mystic and private on-site parking. A pleasant 15 minute drive through the back roads of rural Connecticut will find you enjoying the contemporary excitement of Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos. Holiday and Special Occasion Gift baskets are also available upon request. Our personal attention in preparing for your holiday experience may include specialty breakfasts, wedding and event services, spa experiences, charter fishing and boat cruises, and wine tours, or we will be happy to design one of your own choice. The property is just 2 blocks from downtown which is important as parking is expensive and limited. The host is wonderful and we enjoyed the cozy and quiet property and would stay again when we visit Mystic.

Be aware that the rental unit is over the garage in the back of the picture. But do not hesitate to stay at this location. It was delightful. Thoughtfully furnished, great kitchen and bathroom. Easy walk to all the town of Mystic has to offer. The host was gracious, welcoming and helpful. I would return unhesitatingly.

Cute spot that is on a quiet street yet an easy walk into the village. More charm than staying at a hotel and has all the conveniences of a kitchen. But know that the ambiance is more on the antique side and we've let the owner know that the linens could use a refresh.

Another wonderful, relaxing stay at Cliffside!

This is my wife and my second stay at this wonderful guesthouse. Anne and Ken are gracious hosts who make you feel right at home. The guesthouse for two is comfortable and relaxing. It’s well equipped with almost everything you may need and is in walking distance to town and fine restaurants. We also took a ride up to Foxwoods Casino & Outlets as well as a chilly visit to Mystic Seaport and Mystic Village. You will not be disappointed with Cliffside and will want to come back as we did.

Wonderful, Cozy Stay in Historic Mystic

My wife and I loved this great retreat within walking distance to Mystic and many restaurants (yes - it is close to “Mystic Pizza). A little longer walk by back roads can take you to Mystic Seaport. This was our first stay at this 2 year old fully equipped condo- quiet, comfy bed, and near the Mystic river. A major part of this 5 star review are the hosts Anne and Kenneth- extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. This condo still smelled new to us when we entered so don’t hesitate- you will really enjoy your stay here.

Excellent property and location

I highly recommend this property for the location, warm welcoming owner and the apartment itself. The property is just a few blocks from downtown and highly walkable. I parked my car on Friday and did not use it again until Sunday when I left. The apartment is clean, nicely furnished and full of light. Anne provides alot of helpful info re: restaurants, etc. and makes sure you have everything to settle in.

A little piece of paradise!

I visited Mystic for a long weekend, as my daughter was studying at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Institute. I fell in love! The property was a perfect get-a-way... Anne was so welcoming. The location is amazing - I walked EVERYWHERE, took a sunset sailing cruise, rented a bike and visited multiple beaches... The apartment was perfect. Super clean, all of the needed amenities, parking... I woke up to birds chirping every morning. I STRONGELY recommend it!!!

This was a lovely guesthouse for our 3 night getaway to Mystic. The host, Anne, met us when we arrived and helped us with our luggage and gave us a tour of the house. The house is very clean, well organized and had everything we needed including excellent air conditioning for those humid days we've been having. The walk into Mystic center takes about 10 minutes and is really a delightful walk. It's obvious that Anne and Ken put a lot of time and work into their lovely home and guesthouse. We would definitely stay here again.

This guest suite was even better than pictured. Excellent location and absolutely beautiful. We would have lived there if that was an option. Anne was very communicative and gave excellent suggestions for food and things to do. The weather was cold and rainy during our stay, but we still managed to have a good time and enjoy cozy time in the apartment. If you are looking at this place, don’t even think about it just do it! Any time we come back to Mystic we would love to return.

Fabulous Find in Mystic!

My husband and I were in Mystic for a wedding, but knew we wanted to stay a little bit removed from "all the action." This property was everything that we needed! Walking distance to everything in Mystic, and the neighborhood itself is so picturesque! I wish we had decided to stay in town for more than just a couple of days to enjoy the area more. Anne was the consummate hostess. From the day I booked to the time we checked out, she was just beyond exceptional. Easy to work with, accommodating, super knowledgeable about the area, and just a real pleasure to talk to. Regarding the property itself, it's the perfect little "home away from home." The decor and amenities that Anne has provided make it feel so much more personal than a hotel room; and anything she doesn't have, she will find for you. It was just enough space for the two of us for two days, and we could have been comfortable for a week. The property itself is extremely quiet and peaceful. Despite the fact that you're over a garage on the owner's property, you really feel like you have your own space. So much better than a hotel! We hope we can come up with another excuse to visit Mystic and stay here!
