Perfect Escape
We loved staying a week in this lovely, remote village. It was so fun to drive up the hill in the evening after exploring all day long and come home to this lovely stone home. Sitting on the balcony with a glass of good Spanish wine and watching the sun go down was one of our favorite times of the day. There are so many places to go, things to see, hikes to take, places to swim. A very nice swim area not too far away at a dam. Salamanca, Hervas and DeGranada a Granadilla were some of our favorite day trips. Hike the hill near the Manor Cottage. The host is thoughtful and helpful. We liked slowing down. We liked talking to the people of this little town. We enjoyed being off the beaten path.

A lovely experience
Cabezabellosa is an excellent base for exploring the region. Marco and Consuelo were friendly and helpful and the house was spotlessly clean and well appointed. We appreciated the use of the well equipped kitchen. The three large living areas were all comfortable with the upstairs deck being a special favorite at sunset - the views were wonderful. We would recommend use of the easily accessible garage to save driving through the narrow cobbled streets. Breakfast provisions were generous (sorry Consuelo we just couldn't eat all those cakes after cereal, fruit, yoghurt and toast). We would love to visit again, maybe next time in winter or spring?
