The house was very nice, but was not finished. There were no hooks or shelving in the closets or blinds on any of the windows. Unfortunately it was dirty when we arrived. The cleaner did come back and clean. The drier vent was broken so we could not dry any laundry. The view was amazing and it was very quiet, except for the person that was in the tent above the property.

We’re glad you enjoyed the quiet setting and views, Peter, but we’re sorry the home was not properly prepared for your arrival. We appreciate you acknowledging our cleaner’s return, and we have noted the concerns regarding the unfinished features, dryer vent, and activity near the property.

The NEGATIVES: address on the VRBO site was wrong; listed as East not West. This delayed our check-in by 45 minutes to reroute to correct property. Once there, very limited cell service which caused a delay. The house is new; there was no host book with basic information (i.e., trash, recycling, etc.). The property was not as described - there were multiple powerlines in direct view from the deck to the lake. There was no path through the yard to the steps to the lake; this distance was greater than it appeared in pictures. While there is sleeping for 16, there is no room to sit for a meal together. The kitchen table had 4 chairs and several stools at the kitchen counter. I had inquired about the type of coffee pot and was told pods. Upon arrival, there was a drip coffee pot and a pod coffee maker. The sliders to the deck kept coming off track. There were no window covers on any room which was especially problematic in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The POSITIVES: The deck was great size with plenty of seating. The screen porch a real bonus. Appliances were great; oven, microwave, ice maker, wine fridge. There was plenty of inside couch seating.Overall, a below average experience for our group who travels together often.

We’re sorry the stay began with an incorrect address and continued with several avoidable frustrations, Theresa. Your comments about the listing accuracy, missing house information, limited dining space, window coverings, and deck doors are being reviewed. We’re glad the deck, screened porch, appliances, and living areas were useful for your group, but we understand why the overall experience fell short.

Property has a great location and great potential! Had some issues that the link they sent us with the address took us to the wrong location initially and the cleaning people were still there when we arrived hours after the check in time. The house is beautiful but seems unfinished. There are no towel holders, no curtains and the grill is small and broken which is difficult when you are trying to bbq and feed a family.

Thank you for recognizing the home’s beautiful setting and sharing your candid feedback, Emily. We sincerely apologize for the incorrect map link, delayed cleaning, and the condition of the grill, as these are not the standards we aim to provide. Our team responded to the concerns reported during your stay, though we regret that everything was not fully resolved before your departure. We’re reviewing the arrival information and have shared your comments about the grill and unfinished details with the property and maintenance teams. Your feedback is appreciated and will help us improve the experience for future guests
