The Perfect Southern Vermont Getaway

We loved our first stay here during New Year’s Eve so much that we came back in the summer! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home. As a family of three (plus our senior pup), this spot was the perfect base for a relaxing and memory-filled getaway. The location truly couldn’t be better—just a short drive to all the best winter and summer attractions, a grocery store and a few local restaurants, but tucked away in a peaceful, private area that felt like our own little retreat. The house itself is exactly as described—spotless and clearly very well cared for. Everything was thoughtfully stocked with all items we needed—plenty of kitchen and bathroom essentials, cozy linens and towels, and even some sweet touches that made our toddler feel right at home. The hosts, Tom and Liz, were very responsive and a joy to communicate with—friendly, helpful (they gave great local recommendations), and quick to answer any questions we had. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ experience and go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. We would, and will, absolutely stay here again and recommend it to any family looking for a quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed stay in the heart of Southern Vermont!

About the host

Nice to meet you. I’m Liz and I live in Vermont with my husband, son and two Newfie puppies, Osa & Ferd. I’m an interior designer and antique collector, and at my core, a lover of travel and exploration. We’d love to host you in the beautiful Green Mountains.

Why they chose this property

We fell for Vermont the moment we crossed the border, instantly enveloped by the Green Mountains rising on the horizon, pristine forests, and a pace of life that feels both genuine and grounding .

In Vermont every season brings its own magic:

Spring & Summer, wildflowers bloom, the air hums with life, and quiet trails beckon you into the woods.

Fall, the foliage bursts into spectacular color, a sensory embrace that often moves visitors to tears .

Winter, there’s a serene stillness, perfect for cozying up by the fireplace after snowshoeing, skiing, or simply listening to the hush of falling snow.

What makes this property unique

The cabin itself is a blend of modern comfort and rustic charm. It's designed to feel cozy and inviting while letting the natural beauty outside take center stage. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the main living space, where a 2-story stone fireplace takes the stage.

Whether you're curled up with a book by the fire, sipping coffee on the deck, or soaking in the quiet, the feeling is always the same: grounded, calm, connected.
