So overall the stay was amazing the goats and chickens were a perfect addition to the stay BUT the neighbors upstairs literally didn’t sleep at al they were banging around moving things at all hours of the night one night it was 2am and they were still going strong so that’s why my rating was low but the host was amazing and sweet.
Arrived to a very dark entrance, and I fell on steps, no light was left on outside. Entered to find toilet had been running and overflowed, at least a couple days, all over the bathroom and it was flooded. Water had even spilled out into hallway. The place was dirty and had stains all over furniture, bathroom or kitchen were not cleaned. It smelled of mildew. Opened the hallway door where there was laundry facilities and there was also standing water. The neighborhood was sketchy and the farm in the backyard just smelled like manure. The place is not being taken care of, nor do they have ample cleaning services established. We messaged owner to be told they were out of town and they were sorry. We had to drive 30 minutes out of the cityat 10pm at night to find a Hyatt. VRBO worked with us, since we took photos and opened a refund request with them. We appreciated the refund we received, but it was not might for our inconvenience and the money we had to spend. Not a great experience, I recommend not staying here, unless you really like roughing it.
The check in process was easy and Nicky was responsive to questions. The apartment was cute and well decorated. It is an older building so there were a few minor things. I loved talking to the goats and chickens. There was free street parking and we never had issues finding a spot. It was pretty centrally located so it was easy to get around the city. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy, but the price and convenience were fantastic. I would stay there again in the future.
