House generally not in the shape expected for a VRBO rental. Stained carpets, bedsheets covering the sofas. On the plus side, convenient location for restaurants and shopping.

Host, Grace was attentive. House floorplan was as described. Reasonably clean. Everything inside including dishes, all furniture, bedding and towels were very mismatched, used and outdated. Main sofa had 4 different blankets on it covering up cigarette burns. Although Grace was responsive and polite when we could not get in the door and the internet was not connected, this property could be great with investments in basic furnishings and accessories to bring it up to par with other VRBO listings in west Knoxville. We come several times a year and have been in many other west Knoxville properties over the last 5 years. This one needs some attention.

DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE!!! The host did not communicate through the system, we could not get into the property on time and needed multiple calls to get the entry code. Upon entry noticed a bad smell, then went around the house which was FILTHY! Cigarette burns all over the carpet, mold in the shower, caked on dust all over, toilets not clean, towels looked like they were for cars, yellowed sheets on the bed, no toilet paper, I could go on and on. We called the host and she said it was just cleaned and we were too picky. We called VRBO support since she would not help. We found out that the house wasn't even up to their security standards as the entry is a keypad lock but there is no deadbolt that can be locked from the inside which means we would not be able to keep anyone out. VRBO support said that they would open a case to get our money back as we had to book a hotel at the last minute since we had no where else to stay. So I am still working with VRBO on the refund but they have not been able to get in contact with the host. She has ghosted us too since she hung up on us when we asked for a refund since we left the property about 2 hours (spent on the phone with host as well as VRBO) after we got there.
