Great location to enjoy the area

The location couldn't be beat! Close enough to walk to the beach. The beach was great, we enjoyed channel islands visitors center, and our visit to Los Angeles. The apartment was nice and generally quiet although there are a lot of neighbors in a close proximity. The bed and towels could use updating but we loved the privacy and the little patio area.

When I arrived at 10:30pm, I walked into the unit only to find other people already sleeping in it! I back out quietly and called the owners. No answer. I emailed Evolve and owners immediately. After 2 weeks, Evolve still hasn't accepted the fact that this actually happened. The owner apologized but blamed Evolve. I'm still waiting for my refund.

Location was top notch! Our bungalow was beautifully decorated, with all the things we needed to have a nice relaxing beach-cation! Silver strand beach was a hop a skip and a jump, and is one of the nicest beaches!

Very clean and cozy

Very nice place close to my sons tech school at Port Hueneme . Very convenient to the Pacific Coastal Highway . Lots of things to do in Oxnard or any of the surrounding cities. The owner was very accommodating . My wife and I would definately stay there again..

The apartment was well equipped for a short stay. The furniture was very tasteful and the bed was comfortable. It was great to be able to walk to the beach and small shops. The only complaint I could make is that you could hear the owner talking when he was on the phone or talking to someone in his house.

The one bedroom apartment was super cozy and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. It was located one block from the beach, an easy stroll to watch the beautiful sunsets in the evenings. Centrally located to many of the places we came to visit.

This property was perfect for our short trip to California. We were minutes (walking) from the beach. It was very clean and well-maintained. It was very quiet there as well. My only issue was that the ad on VRBO said there was a stove. I inquired about it through email as I could not see one in the picture and was told that if the ad said there was a stove then there would be a stove. There was a single burner (hotplate) but not an actual stove or even a toaster oven. Also, there was not a toaster or kettle. We made do with what was provided but it made preparing meals a little difficult. If you prefer to eat out, this would be a perfect place. Overall, it was a great rental place and I would not hesitate to stay here for a short period of time again.

Home away from Home

I have to admit I was a bit worried about staying in an apartment with the owners living on site, but I was worried for nothing. Both Walt and Gail were really nice! They respected my privacy. The apartment is full of beautiful calming colors. Silver Strand beach is a 5 minute walk. The neighborhood and the people in the community are very nice and hospitable. The Channel Island Harbor also offers restaurants and beautiful scenery. The apartment is bigger than what I expected. There's a lot of room to move around. The bed and pillows are really comfortable! The shower is awesome! The kitchen has a microwave and hot plate. I ate out, but it was good to know that it was there if needed. The patio was my favorite place to be to drink coffee and enjoy the nice weather. I was serenaded with the National Anthem by the Naval Base down the street every morning while on the patio. I enjoyed my stay and if I come back, I will rent again from Walt and Gail.
