Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Before booking I messaged the host and told her I was traveling with 3 golden retrievers. She said to go ahead and book and never mentioned additional fees. Hours after check in I received a rude message that I was 1 dog over and was billed another 30. Which honestly I would not have had a problem with paying a pet fee but the rude message was unacceptable. At that point I felt unwelcome and I felt I was being accused of being deceitful which I clearly was not. I did not sleep well because I was upset and frankly it ruined our stay. We left in the morning and the office was not open and the host has not replied to my multiple messages. I do not feel it is right that a host can charge hidden fees after check in and ruin someone’s stay. Then when I made a complaint with you she said we discussed it on the phone which is completely untrue as we did not discuss anything on the phone. I refuse to pay the extra charges and absolutely will not use Vrbo anymore.The unit was small and the property is not well kept. The parking is fine for small vehicles and the balcony is on a busy and noisy road across the street from the park- little to no privacy.
