Beautiful home but…

The good: This home is beautiful, cozy and in a very convenient location. The neighborhood initially appears questionable but it was quiet at night and we didn’t have any problems. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of pillows, blankets and towels. The house comfortably accommodates up to 10 people, including dining space. The kitchen is well stocked with glassware, silverware, and even kids plates, bowls and plasticware. The not-so-great: Once you arrive you have to sign a release of liability and send a picture of the document along with a photo of your drivers license, I’ll mention more on this later. Upon check in, the air conditioner was off so it was 89 degrees in the house and took several hours before it finally cooled off. The AC turns on and off throughout the day. When you set it to 70 it is set back to 76 in a matter of minutes to an hour. Back to the release of liability- I signed it not thinking there was an issue then throughout our stay I realized there were a few dangerous issues such as: 1. there’s only one smoke detector and there was no battery in it. 2. It’s difficult to set the water temperature (you have to pull and turn the handle but the handle is loose, it’s weird) so you have to make sure the temperature is good before you get in because if it’s too hot it’s not easy to adjust and there’s no indicator for which direction is hot or cold. And the water gets extremely hot. 3. I tried to open one of the windows and couldn’t get it open which is not good in the event of a fire. 4. The laminate coating on the flooring was stripped off from using bleach during the pandemic so now the color of the floor gets on your feet- which wouldn’t be an issue but it’s exposing you to chemicals. The owner recommends wearing your shoes in the house (but this is only said if you complain about the floors making your children’s feet dirty). Because of this issue I would say that this house is not good if you have small children. Overall, the house is in a great location, it’s beautiful and one of the nicest houses I’ve rented through VRBO however, the safety issues and HVAC issues deter me from ever renting here again.

Lovely home very clean

This house was very clean. There was a air hockey table and Foosball table and lots of board games. The house looks small from the outside but when you walk in it surprises you. Karen was a great host.

Easy check in. Close access to I95. Host very responsive to inquiries. Very clean, well stocked. Would recommend “Diva duck”, City place, palm beach, oceanfront park (boyton beach) Flagler museum, walking trail on waterfront (can park at Flagler museum for free!) You have to pay for parking at all the beaches, would recommend downloading the app.

We had a great time - so much to do in west palm beach. We went to the beach, the zoo, safari, horse back riding, we played polo. Karen was exceptional-The house was great- only thing to note the neighborhood is slightly sketch with a lot of the nearby houses having boarded up windows and guard dogs

Awesome Vacay Home

We enjoyed the time we spent there. The home was very accommodating for our family. The neighborhood was safe and the playground behind the house was perfect for the kids. The location was great for going to the beach, dinning out, shopping and anything else you would want to do. We highly recommend this place!!

Holiday Vacation in Sunny Florida

The house was great and roomy for our family. We really enjoyed the foose ball table but the air hockey was not working great so was unable to play that. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen and cooking for our family. It would be helpful to have some new pans as they were so/so. Could use a strainer for pasta. Also having the diswasher stabilized would be helpful. It would also be nice to have more hand towels in the bathroom and a few extra towels. The floor was not cleaned well but Karen did offer to have cleaners come but we just did it ourself. We really liked the location and so close to downtown and the beach. Beautiful beaches!! House had a few chairs for the beach and this was awesome! Nice patio to sit out in the sun and a small park right behind property was nice. Beds were very comfortable. Karen had a nice decorated christmas tree in Living area and nicely decorated for the holidays. Loved all the beachy/florida decor. For the price this was a great place to stay. Thanks for sharing your home with us Karen.

we had an excellent stay at this property. Karen our host was very communicative and very helpful. We were a little disappointed that a listing said there would be a hot tub in bikes available and there were neither of those. That being said the property was beautiful and clean and very convenient to everything we wanted to do. Maybe definitely revisit this property!

Why this Property? Because it has very large and open space, & also is very good located, just 5 min to the Kravis and Convention Center, City Place, restaurant and theatre. Also is located less them 3 min from the Palm Beach Outlets, easy access to I95 and several amenities just around the corner. I pick this property for a vacation rental destination because if I was traveling to Palm Beach, this is exactly what I prefer to stay for my self.
