Make yourself at home in this charming 1-bedroom Cedar Falls retreat. With amenities like a washing machine, WiFi, heating, and AC, guests can relax and unwind in this cozy barn. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our superb property.
Take some time to literally smell the roses. Walk around barefoot if you like, (we do have dogs so watch where you step :/ ) pick veggies from the garden or fruit from the trees. Throw the ball for the dogs and they'll love you forever.
Relax on the patio or in the hot tub behind the house. Make yourself a fire and cook s'mores. Maybe you just want to sleep the day away, that's fine too.
We offer discounts of 20% for traveling nurses, teachers, and service members whether it's just for the night or for the week.
Being a teacher myself, I would like to help the other teachers out there that are just trying to make it, paycheck to paycheck.

All used towels can go in the washer with the sheets. I can wash them when you leave. Please take the trash to the large can in front of the main house.
You do not have to lock up. But if you could send me a text that you are leaving or have checked out, that would be great.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

My husband and I stayed overnight for our anniversary. The place was beautiful and serene. We enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the sunset from the patio area. Our hosts were lovely and we even got to say hello to their sweet dogs. Wonderful experience!

This is an awesome place! If you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities (which are also very close if needed) this would be it. Place was clean and very well deocated. Had everything you would need. Shannon was very friendly and accommodating. Dogs were also very friendly! We only stayed one night but it is definitely something I would do again!

This place is perfect! Super comfy bed, everything exactly like the pictures show and description reads, and Shannon is awesome! And the dogs.....oh the dogs are just so friendly! We couldn't have asked for a better getaway than right here! Planning the next one here soon! If I could rate 10 star, I would! Book it now! You will not be disappointed!

This barn was originally built for our chicken, horse, goats and sheep. It was awesome, but we’ve decided to change it up a bit and make it a retreat for people to stay and enjoy the outdoors.

Why they chose this property

I love the summer time when I get a break from teaching and can work in the outdoors, mowing, gardening and relaxing on the patio.

What makes this property unique

This property is unique in that it feels far away from town and hussle and bussle but is only ten minutes from Cedar Falls or Waterloo and 15 to Waverly.
Come and listen to the birds sing and enjoy all of the different parts of country life we have to offer.
