We had a great time at the Cottage. It was a beautiful remote location and a very clean home. Kitchen was well stocked. Jennifer made sure we had everything we needed. Great stay!
We had a wonderful stay here. Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need for a retreat. Jennifer is a great host, answered any questions we had and very attentive. If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

Awesome home. It has everything. Space, quiet and beautiful woods. A little challenging to get to, but worth it. Jennifer is so wonderful with information and communication.
The cottage was just as described and owner communicated directions. It was clean with a well stocked kitchen. It is a very relaxing setting. Definitely will come back.
overall amazing experience... lovely getaway and pretty clean... save for a few errant pieces of bark/ crunchy leaf crumbs that greeted me upon first evening climbing into bed...
Overall peaceful, cozy cottage that we will dream about returning to someday

Thank you for choosing Peaceful Hills Cottage and so happy to hear you dream about returning someday. I’m trying to figure out how a leaf made it all the way into your bedroom. All three porches are swept off regularly, and the strict cleaning policy is ‘not one hair left behind’. Thank you for letting me know! I will be sure to make sure they are taken care of properly. You are welcomed back to Peaceful Hills anytime.
We booked the cottage at peaceful hills this time vs the cabin due to availability it. It was great. Beautiful property with plenty of sight seeing to keep you busy. Or you can just hang out on the property and enjoy the peace and quiet like we did. Walking the creek is always a good time.
Peaceful Hills Retreat / Hostess Jennifer and the Entire 91 Acres of Blissful 🥰Amazing Experiences! Thank You 🙏 for The Memorable Opportunities!

We came from downtown Nashville after a wedding. The change of pace we experienced on arrival was wonderful. The cottage was exactly as advertised. Very clean and lots of amenities. The owner was kind and quick to respond to each of our inquiries.

Brenda,
Thank you for choosing Peaceful Hills Cottage for your place to unwind after the wedding. It was such a pleasure hosting your stay and you are welcome back anytime!
This is a lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. My husband and stayed here 2 summer nights and it was so relaxing. Jennifer was very accommodating. She brought us fresh eggs and told us where all of good swimming holes were. Good price. Will definitely be returning in the fall!
Went to attend the Loretta Lynn Mx National race
The accommodations were as explained, very clean. It is a drive to and from the Camp but given the area there is really nothing much closer
All and all everything was fine
Our stay was very peaceful and enjoyable. We got to meet the owners who live on the property and a very Godly- loving family that made us feel a part of their homeplace and their kindness was beyond expectations. I never felt more welcomed and at home at the same time. Very referent of your privacy but at the same time were accessible if needed. Lovely place to visit and get a look at the incredible beauty of Tennessee and one of God's masterpieces. You will love this place and the ones that make it a home away from home.

Nice place, but gets a bit crowded
Clean place, great creek. There wasn't bath soap in the shower-only bathroom, which was a little dissappointing. Wish we could have had access to the waterfall, but someone was camping there. I asked the host some questions but never got a response. We stayed Thursday-Saturday. It was great Thursday, but there were a few tent campers Friday and Saturday, which made it a little difficult to enjoy the sounds of nature.

We are so glad you enjoyed the creek and the cottage was clean for you! If you would like to enjoy the waterfall campsite, simply make that reservation at the time of booking the cottage. It is a separate location near the creek and has a separate listing. We use body wash instead of bars of soap and strive to make sure there is one in each bathroom. Thank you for letting us know.
We strive to answer all questions within the hour. Thank you for your patience with those two questions while we attended a funeral. We hope you were able to find the deepest part of the creek on your own. We also hope you were able to complete your science experiment with the white sheet to attract the moths using the night light! It sounds like fun. Thank you for coming to Peaceful Hills Retreat! You are welcome back anytime.
This little place is worth the 20 min. drive you'll make to grocery stores. A gathering of three homes around a green space. A home so comfortable it feels like you're visiting your grandma or some other dear relative. Super-easy access, friendly and helpful host. We had no trouble with wifi; couldn't make phone calls but could still text. A great fire pit. The only possible downside for some could be that the home is located in the bend of the gravel road, but the road is only for the three houses and there was so little traffic it didn't bother us.
This property was breathtaking. I was not expecting the remoteness of the location so make sure your gps is on well before arrival! The last several miles are on gravel roads and then the last mile is a dirt road.
The house is outdated but very clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I was especially impressed with the stocking of the kitchen.
We stayed in March before it was warm enough for creek play but I imagine it would be very busy in the summer months. The camping on top of the hill is very tempting for a return summer trip and I’d love to come to this property again in the winter.

DEEP IN THE HIDDEN WOODS
The place is great and so are the owners. Jennifer and Linda are the greatest people ever. The place was super clean and equiped with everything you could ever want. The absolute ONLY and I mean ONLY problem is , this place is SUPER hidden and so far away from anything or any one. The directions to get here need to be more milage specific and more land marks. To say turn at a store that that is no longer a store and go about 7 minutes to a place is a bit silly. Why not say 2.2 miles turn left on a certain road and name that road. We drove for over 2 hours to get less than a half of a mile, To say cross over a bridge, but not telling what bridge is awful. We crossed over the scariest wooden homemade bridge, drove in a creek and was so lost out in the boonies. We had all intentions of going into Nashville but after this we decided to stay put. It was a great quite trip but I must say we will never ever go back ONLY because it really is so far away from even a grocery store. 45-50 minutes to the nearest Walmart and although there are small stores closer, the prices will be like 7-11 prices. NOT for us. It you want peace and quite and plan to stay put, want ot be deep in the woods, than this is your place. Plan to be greeted by the greatest folks around. WE love Jennifer and Linda. Wish they were closer to Nashville or something that would not have been so far, far away in the hundred acre woods.

Guests arrived late afternoon, after getting lost using a paper road map. Google Maps on a smart phone is very accurate, and works well. Twenty minutes from I-40. GPS devices will state the actual mileage.
We served her and her family a home cooked meal upon their arrival, since they did not pack any food to eat.
We drove guest to store for groceries same day of arrival and helped her unload her two weeks worth of food. She never left the house and did not experience any of the restaurants or good shopping in the area.
Good restaurants & a Walmart are located only 17 miles away. Centerville is 19 miles and has two grocery stores, plus restaurants. Dickson is the town that is 45 minutes away and it definitely has everything you could possibly need or want.
The 'unnamed bridge' over the creek into our place is very safe, two lanes wide, solid concrete. Our neighbor has the solid wooden bridge on his property which is where they had driven.
Rest assured, you will definitely find peace and quiet at this beautiful place called Peaceful Hills that is easy to find using a GPS and not too far from I-40.
This cottage is amazing, such a beautiful place and fully stocked! Jennifer was awesome and very sweet! We enjoyed the creek and hiking. My family and I will definitely be back here again!
This is a gorgeous place. The owner thought of everything when preparing this place. It is beautiful inside and out. Family friendly. The creek is just steps away, which our kids loved. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for everything!!!

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Lyn, Peaceful Hills
My family and I enjoy hosting vacations, events & weddings at Peaceful Hills Retreat. We have three lovely homes available, the Cabin, Cottage and Lodge. All three homes are unique and each have something very special about them. We also have a forest campground for primitive camping with thirty campsites. This is the place to come if you want a peaceful place to relax and unwind! We would be honored to host your stay.
Why they chose this property
This property is in the beautiful rolling hills of Tennessee, far away from the hustle and bustle of a busy city filled with heavy traffic, exhaust fumes, and loud sirens. Here you will smell the pure, fresh air, which brings more oxygen to your brain, hear the songbirds singing their songs, and feel the beautiful breeze blowing against your face. The night stars are the brightest here, and the fireflies make the place look like you're inside a sparkling palace with gems glistening in the moonlight. The bonfire gives a scent that makes everyone feel young again and the wide-open, huge yard gives the sense that life is good all the time! Being in the center of God's creation is one of the best places to be. It is clean, untarnished, and nature is truly at it's best. The wild flowers are gorgeous here and the white oak trees tower above your heads dropping little acorns to feed the deer and squirrels. The trail through the campground is a dirt road where your feet can touch the earth and get re-connected to country living. The campground road will lead you to a high ridge where you can see the beautiful sunsets overlooking the valleys below. Picnic tables and fire rings are spread throughout the place, which is very well maintained and kept looking very clean. After experiencing the heights of the campground, you can take a stroll down to the creek. The water is crystal clear from a spring and filled with bio-diverse creatures, like crawdads and snails. It's refreshingly cool and perfect for summer months. It's not too deep so you can creek walk and find neat shells and rocks. Fish will nibble at your toes if you stand still long enough. The bridge provides a great place for a shaded picnic lunch and this is all just a short walk from the cottage. There is also a small waterfall campsite which has a table and some chairs to just sit and hear the gentle waters. It is so amazingly peaceful! It's time to experience Peaceful Hills Retreat, so book your reservation soon!
What makes this property unique
The Cottage is one of three homes at Peaceful Hills available to you. The three homes are space far apart, which gives you the feeling of complete privacy. The Cottage is the closest home to the creek, with a view of the creek from the back porch. Sitting out on the porch, you may be able to hear the gentle waters on a still, quiet day. It is definitely a clean environment which refreshes the soul.
