The space
Welcome to my western-inspired home at 157 Rangeline Dr!

I’ve created this space to feel warm, inviting, and a little adventurous—with western charm and modern touches throughout. Each bedroom has its own personality, name, and vibe to make your stay extra memorable:
• The Buckin’ Bronco Room – A cozy queen room with bold western flair.
• The Cactus Sunrise Room – A peaceful space with a soft desert feel and a comfy double bed.
• The Maverick Suite – Our spacious primary suite with a king bed, a crib for little ones, and a mix of rustic romance and western luxury.
• The Rustler’s Ridge Room – Another stylish queen room with rugged charm and thoughtful details.

The bathrooms are clean, bright, and fully stocked to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is ready for whatever you want to whip up—whether you’re cooking a family meal or baking something sweet. There’s a propane fireplace in the living area, a game table, books, and plenty of games for nights in. You’ll also find a convenient laundry room for longer stays.

This home is set up for rest, reconnection, and real fun—whether you’re here to relax, fish, hunt, or celebrate. I also welcome events like weddings, birthdays, or bridal showers. I’d love to host you and help you enjoy all that this space (and this area) has to offer.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire home, including all four themed bedrooms, the kitchen, cozy living and dining areas, laundry room, patio, backyard, and as much parking as you need. Bring your boats, trailers, or extra vehicles—there’s plenty of space to turn around and park with ease.

Outside, you’ll find a large patio area with string lights and covered seating—perfect for relaxing any time of day. There’s a fire pit, outdoor furniture, and an incredible view that makes the whole space feel peaceful and open. We’ve also provided a grill and a smoker with pellets ready to go for outdoor cooking.

For some fun and leisure, enjoy a variety of outdoor games set up for your entertainment. Plus, there’s a cozy covered morning reading area with a charming swing where you can unwind and take in the fresh air.

There’s also a separate shop on the property with a small living space where our trusted groundskeeper occasionally stays. They respect your privacy but are nearby if you need anything—from help around the house to local tips or quick fixes. They’re simply here to help make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

About the host

Hosted by Jamey Hix

Host profile image
Hi there! I’m Jamey—ranch-raised, rodeo-bred, and rooted in Idaho. I’m a wife, mama of three, woman of faith, and business owner. I run Jamey Hix Agency – Farm Bureau Insurance of Idaho, and I’m also a licensed Realtor who knows the land and the lifestyle around here like the back of my hand.

I grew up team roping, riding horses, and spending every spare moment outdoors—whether I was hunting, fishing, or just soaking up the country air. Life has taken me through my fair share of trials, but I’ve found grace, grit, and God in the toughest times. And through it all, I’ve kept my heart wide open, my smile on, and my boots moving forward.

Hosting gives me a chance to share a piece of this beautiful life and land with others. Rangeline Retreat is more than just a stay—it’s an experience. Whether you're looking to unwind under the stars, reconnect with loved ones, or simply breathe in the fresh mountain air, I’ve created a space where you can truly relax and feel at home.

Welcome to Kamiah—and welcome to a slower, sweeter way of life.

Why they chose this property

I chose this location because it offers the perfect blend of peaceful seclusion and everyday convenience. Nestled at the end of a quiet country road, the property gives guests that true “off-the-grid” feeling without being far from town. You can enjoy wide-open skies, wildlife, and total tranquility — then be at a grocery store, restaurant, or local shop in just a few minutes.

This area is also ideal for outdoor lovers, with great fishing, hunting, and hiking all nearby. I wanted a place where guests could unwind, celebrate, and make memories in a private setting that still feels connected and welcoming. The neighborhood captures everything I love about country living — space, freedom, and natural beauty — without sacrificing access to the essentials.

What makes this property unique

What makes Rangeline Retreat truly special is the mix of rustic charm, heartfelt hospitality, and real Idaho living. It’s not just a house—it’s a place where memories are made. Nestled in the peaceful hills of Kamiah, our property offers space to breathe, starry skies, and the kind of quiet you didn’t know your soul needed.

The retreat is beautifully designed to feel like a blend of Western elegance and cozy comfort—perfect for family gatherings, romantic getaways, or just a well-earned escape. You'll find thoughtful touches throughout: from a gourmet kitchen and spa-style bathrooms to outdoor games, a reading nook, and plenty of spots to just sit and soak it all in.

We’re also proud to offer something a little different: event-friendly space. Whether it’s a small wedding, a reunion, or a celebration of life, we welcome guests who want to mark life’s meaningful moments in a setting that feels warm, welcoming, and unforgettable.

What sets us apart most, though, is the heart behind it all. This land holds my family’s story. It’s where we’ve worked hard, laughed loud, and built something we’re proud to share. When you stay here, you’re not just booking a place—you’re getting a genuine taste of Idaho hospitality, hosted by folks who truly care.
