About this property

Room in a beautifully restored Colonial house with swimming pool and gym. Queen bed, A/C, super-hot water, WiFi and Cable TV. Freshly-cooked breakfast included, 24 hour security and daily cleaning. Excellent location - quiet but central. Guests can use the swimming pool, including the salons, rooftop pergola and the pool patio area. Guests can also use our gym, which has cardio equipment, over 20 machines, free weights and classes such as Zumba and Yoga at no extra charge.

Nice hotel, very safe, good location

Property is nice and well located. We were checked in by a young guy who couldn't stop smiling, was a great way to start! The breakfast was included and was very fresh and served with a smile (Karen I think). The hotel will advise you of local restaurants to try at night and these were all excellent. The rooms are very clean and the staff are very nice. The air con is perfect to allow you to sleep at night. There is WiFI and you can use this to call an UBER to get to the airport.

This is a beautifully restored 10-bedroom Colonial House operating as a boutique hotel in the heart of the Colonial Zone, with a swimming pool, roof garden and . The hotel has a really amazing reputation - just go on to TripAdvisor and check for Casa Sanchez Boutique Hotel and you can see what people are saying. Each of the bedrooms is different and has been lovingly restored and decorated by Jonathan, the owner. The house has original floor tiles, dating back 300 years, high ceilings, but also comforts such as air conditioning, WiFi, boiling hot water. Its in a very quiet street, it's very safe and secure, staffed 24 hours and day. And its just a few steps from the main Conde street. We also own a full gym opposite the house, and all guests can use this free of charge. We like to get to know our guests, but we know that our guests need their space and privacy. As well as the bedrooms, there are plenty of spaces you can sit quietly and be on your own.

Why they chose this property

The house is right in the centre of the Colonial Zone. You can walk around, you don't need a car, and nowhere in the zone is more than 15 minutes' safe walk away. In our street we have a number of excellent restaurants and bars (none are so close to cause a nuisance). The Conde, the main pedestrianised street, is just a few steps from us. All the main historic sites such as the Plaza Colon, Cathedral, Fortaleza Osama and the Plaza España are within an easy walk.

What makes this property unique

We offer a shuttle service to and from the airport (cost US$40 one-way, in total not per person). We also offer city tours of Santo Domingo, trips to the beach and to the mountains.
