The house was perfect!! Perfect location!!! We all loved the beachy decor and the beautiful antique furniture!! The only complaint is our fur babies are not allowed.

Family weekend

Here for a family weekend. Wonderful stay! House was clean, perfect location, we really lucked out with the weather. The only small suggestion I’d give is to trim the trees in the driveway to make room to get out the car a little more easier. Other than that, perfect!

My family and I had the best vacation that we’ve had in the past three years here! The house had a great fail to it, reminded me of a lot of the beach houses. I stayed in when I was a kid. Location was great. Directly across the street from the beach, so it’s easy to get down and come back to the house for lunch and anything else we needed. Location was great to get to the main street of Fernandina Beach as well, only a six minute drive. The beach area had a good amount of people, but not too crowded which was the best for my five-year-old daughter to make friends and play birthday. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about the house, the location, and the outdoor deck area of the house. We will be looking to rent again next year!

Great Location

You cannot beat the location of this property. Close to the beach, main beach access and restaurants. The deck and patio are perfect for sunrise and sunset. We comfortably slept 8 adults and 1 child with an extra bed to spare. Bathrooms are good size and easily accommodated all family members. The plants on the sides of the property give you plenty of privacy. The ceiling was leaking when we first checked in, however after several calls with the on call property manager, an emergency HVAC company came out and stayed until 11:15 pm to fix the problem. After that, the house was good to us. There was a strange smell that stayed with us over the weekend - and it seems to be coming from use of the washer/dryer.

Perfect Location

Very easy to get to and from the beach. Very close to a couple of great restaurants and the main beach park. Had trouble with the Internet but during our check-in process they said that it was unreliable at times so we were not surprised. We were in town for the Shrimp Fest. Great event!

Perfect location to restaurants, beach, skatepark, play areas, putt putt.

I am hoping to make this an annual tradition. The house could not have been more perfect. Loved the decks with stunning ocean view, the ping-pong/pool table, comfortable and spacious rooms, awesome kitchen, group dining inside and out. Three full bathrooms. Cable. Something for everyone for sure.

Cute cottage close to beach

We found this house for a last minute Thanksgiving Trip and it worked great for our 4 adults and 3 kids. It’s a cute “cottage” - not necessarily a “beach house” - right across a sand road from the dunes. With that said, you don’t really have a view of the ocean unless you go up to the top deck and unfortunately, there was orange construction tape and pipes directly in front of the house on the beach so we had to walk down a ways to access the beach. Seems like that information should have been given, but honestly it wasn’t awful. We loved being by the park with a playground, putt putt and a NEW SALT LIFE RESTAURANT that was amazing! This made it a great house alone. The listing isn’t totally accurate - the 4th bedroom only has a futon and then a daybed up a spiral staircase that made it impossible for us to let a child sleep up there. Also, one was a bonus - there is a Hot Tub on the deck! Might want to mention that because with our chilly weather it was awesome. Agree with the other reviewer that the mattress on the left needs to go (it slants one way and is awful) but the rest of the house was comfortable and very well stocked for us to make Thanksgiving dinner! The house looks like it was decorated as a cute cottage in the 90s and never revisited, but we found it a charming place to stay for a homey holiday with the grandkids. Hot water worked fine and the wooden island was great to serve on. All in all a successful weekend.

Great location - Nice house!

Wonderful location right at the beach. Great for a family, though the stairs to the loft were a bit difficult even for older kids. For the money, I expected the house to be nicer, and better maintained: Ice maker didn't work; hot/cold water varied during showers; had to unclog drain in tub in first bathroom on right; house seemed cluttered with too much furniture; 1 queen mattress in first BR on left was horrible and should be replaced. Still a wonderful place to stay with our family right on the beach!
