Absolutely incredible cabin! The host was very accommodating in the cabin was very clean. I will definitely stay again in the summer! Peers for swimming and a secluded quiet area. The cabin is an excellent condition and very well equipped. The spot tub was excellent and the satellite internet was more than acceptable! I can't say there was anything bad about this place. I loved it! The host is very good at communicating as well.
Nice beds, quiet neighborhood, Pond across the street is nice. Very close to Taum Sauk and the Abbey. Great location to stay if you are in town to mountain bike or hike. Bring the paddleboard!
Pet friendly quiet clean peaceful surroundings and the best cinnamon rolls and ice cream at Arcadia Academy bakery 3 Abby Kitchen. Host was very responsive
We wanted a quick getaway near Elephant Rocks State Park, and this cabin was clean, comfortable and pet-friendly. We really enjoyed the games provided as well as the jetted bathtub.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin on the lake. Everything was as advertised. The cabin was very clean with a fresh smell upon entering. The location was close to local restaurants and points of interest. We brought several games to play but the cabin was equipped with multiple games for different ages and interests. I would recommend this cabin for anyone staying in this area.
Our stay was fantastic! Pristine and charming wood cabin. Everything was new, and well stocked. We loved the jacuzzi tub and the beds were SO comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 4. The property was beautiful as well. We will be back!
This place and location was awesome! Just out of town but private. Super clean and quiet. Great food choices in town too. If you want relaxation this is one of the best!!! The host was A!!!
The cabin was great! The kids loved the bathtub with jets. It was perfectly located between our Johnston Shut ins and Elephant Rock adventures. The lake was not as accessible for swimming due to natural moss build up but we were able to go fishing. We will definitely return!
It was a beautiful place with awesome facilities, would stay again in a heartbeat. Just as a heads up there was a poisonous snake we saw near the front of the home however it is probably unavoidable because of proximity to the waterfront. Just be careful if you check in at night like we did!
Loved this cabin. Clean and had a nice fragrance. King Size bed was so comfortable, but the pillows were not. Would have liked some lounging furniture in the living area. Loved the board games. WiFi was excellent The host was quick to respond to my questions When we arrived, there was trash in the trash can and a used wash cloth in the shower Another cabin we stayed in during December had a pre-lit tree and a few lights. That would be a nice little touch for this cabin in December LOVED the wood stove. So cozy
Wow, what a beautiful place and location! This new build is beautiful inside and out. Had morning coffee on the front porch looking out over the lake and watching wildlife. If you need a secluded beautiful place near several state parks or to go on a float, this is your place. This place is stocked with everyrything you need. We will definitely be back.
Host was excellent. I had many questions. She patiently answered them all. The property was beautiful. Peaceful, quiet, and picture perfect. The cabin was brand new with ample room, rustic Decor, lots of games, a fire pit area, and a great view of the lake. My kids loved sleeping in the loft area. I would love to stay there again.
We had a great time on this beautiful remote property. I really liked the cabin but there were a few things that could have been done to improve our experience. The only light in the bedroom does not work. Thankfully we brought camp lights with us or we would have been in darkness the whole time, and the bedroom curtains were damaged and kept falling down. But those are minor grievances compared to how nice the property is as a whole. The only real issue I noticed that should be addressed asap is there are no working smoke alarms in the cabin.
I assume the other folks were friends and family who left reveiws and or when it was under old ownerahip. The property itselfgreat. The peraon who is managing the property terrible. We arrive on t he check in date/time..which the time was confusing, it was 1 or 3..not sure. At this point still havent received the check in instructions. Go to the property, still nothing. It is 530pm at this point. After multiple attempts of messaging vrbo and the host...nothing. the owner of the property next door, use to own the property and knew how to get ahold of the new owner. Only then do we get the code and are able to the property. After settling, we decided we would like to stay another night if possible. I send a message. A dat a reaponse comes through-"im sorry i just seen your measage".lol. wild. This person should not be operating a short term rental.(the tub...filled with water and soap, turned the jets on,the water was tinted brown with soap scum and dirt)
What a wonderful place to stay for a weekend getaway with the family. Our children loved the water and fishing, so did the dog. The location was perfect for all hiking areas. The cabin had everything we needed and more. Definitely the place to stay!
