We had 4 families stay for a tournament, and there was plenty of space for each family to have their own area, as well as lots of areas for us to gather and socialize. Perfect house for a large gathering, and the grounds were beautiful!
Beautiful property and area. Description and pictures were very accurate and everything was very nice. Owners were heplful and nice. Would go there again
The house is big. The kitchen is large and functional with a lot of glassware. There are a lot of beds for a large group of adults. The air conditioning worked well during the hottest week of the year. We had a few small issues during our stay and the host was prompt in sending someone out to fix them. The couch could use replacing (all the arms are very broken in, and the sectional is missing clips to hold each section together. It was nice it was large enough for our group to sit around and chat each evening though. The whiteboard was super useful as well!
The house was very nice, with plenty of room for everyone and a nice yard for the kids to run and play in. The only drawback was that we wanted to have a few people over for lunch and we were denied because the neighbors would complain. The neighbors house is very far away and I don't know how or why they would object. But other than that we had a very pleasant stay in a very pleasant environment.
The size of the house was perfect for our large group. Although it is an older house and outdated it had everything we needed. There were a few changes based on photos. Master bedroom has a king bed and a queen bed. The sofa in the master bedroom is not a pull-out bed. The basement has 3 queen beds, 2 with doors and one in the living room area. The game/event room has 2 toilets and 1 sink. There is not a full bath on the main level. In the back yard, there are 3 small, round charcoal grills. The hot tub is out of service for those wanting a hot tub. Our group did not have interest in hot tub, therefore, not a disappointment for us. Although the host took a couple days to respond to my request for late checkout, he was kind enough to allow us a few extra hours.
The house has the benefit of many bedrooms and beds, plus two large eating areas and a large kitchen. But we expected much better conditions than what we found: no working lights above cooktop or kitchen sink, no light in either oven, dirty upper oven that we had to clean in order to use, impossible-to-see rings on stove top front burners because of so much burned-on stuff that should have been removed by stove top cleaner, rug end sticking up in dining room so it was a tripping hazard, not enough bowls or small plates, dirty and horribly greasy utensil left in utensil drawer, bugs of various sorts around plus a distinct ant problem near the toaster, a broken shelf support in the frig, a mouse in the garbage pull-out, an unusable large game room because it was not heated. Also a broken wine glass left in cabinet and a broken water pitcher used to heat up water that was unusable. The left glide for the top rack of the dishwasher was broken so the rack kept slipping down. We had beeping fire alarms but no usable 9-volt batteries. The downstairs shower was unusable. There were chairs and lots of wood throughout the garage so you couldn't park anywhere there without moving a bunch of stuff. We sent a list of things that needed to be addressed within our first day there and did not hear back anything at all for two additional days. Help finally arrived on Christmas day of all days and the crew was very friendly and very helpful. But that was after half our rental period was over.
Note: "Pet Friendly" only extends to dogs under 20 pounds.
The park trails along the Potomac were its best feature. They start just a very short walk from the front door.
The house worked out very well for us. It was sparsely furnished and some elements were slightly shabby, but it was fine as we were most interested in getting together.
It was excellent value for the many bedrooms. Just don't expect a mansion.
The house size was great for a large group such as ours. It was clean and very spacious. There were ample towels and linens. Thete were a few cosmetic issues and a few other issues but they did not
prevent us from having a great time at the property. Originally we were not aware that the temperature was controlled remotely by the host and that it would be so low at night. There was an issue the first day/evening/night with the temperature (it was too warm originally and overnight too cold on all floors). Subdequent days were ok after texting the host and giving him specific temperature for day and night. The irons didn't work properly. We didn't get the air or TV in the party room to work. The TV in the family room didn't work, finally we figured out that the batteries were corroded and once replaced we got the TV to work. Some windows didn't lock (upstairs bedroom and party room). Overall we had a great time.
We had a very very good experience staying in this house. Though we had rented it for a larger group not all ended up joining. It’s indeed very well maintained. Every small detail has been thoughtfully taken care of. The response time for any query or request was very quick too. We don’t have any complain whatsoever. We can give it a 5 Star or more !!
Great house for large friends gathering in a good location
The house is perfect for a group of friends to get away. Our group was 6 couples and 3 single adults and we all had plenty of room. The bedrooms are large and bedding was very comfortable. Kitchen was ample for preparing food for our large group, and the bar room is gigantic. Unfortunately there was a water leak in the kitchen ceiling but the owner's response was prompt and fair, and we all made the best of it not letting it ruin an otherwise perfect weekend. Our group is already planning on renting the house again next year.
On the whole we had a wonderful time in the house.
However, according to photographs there should have been an awning on the deck which was missing - and was actually necessary.
Not sufficient towel rails in bathrooms.
The filter for the water from the refrigerator needs replacing, but the property manager supplied us with ample bottled water.
Overall beautifully situated with lovely linen and furnishing and a well-appointed kitchen. Prompt attention to all our correspondence with the property manager.
We had a wonderful stay in this spacious home, there was room for 5 families. My guess is the home sits in 1.5-2 acres where we got to enjoy a few visits from a doe and her fawns. The home was also filled with all the necessities such as spices, paper products, dish soap, garbage bags & the bathrooms had shampoo, body wash & lotions along with a hair dryer. (yay) I would highly recommend this property.
The property was perfect for our big family to each have their own space. They had a pack n play for my son, which was awesome so we didn't have to bring his whole setup.
We did have ant issues during our stay that made the kitchen almost unusable. The house manager was extremely responsive however, which I appreciated. They did try to make the situation right. Since I didn't see ants being an issue in other people's stay, I am assuming this is not normally a problem.
Overall, a very good stay!
Our family was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We all played games and enjoyed the ping pong table. Thank you for a great stay.
A welcoming, elegant and versatile property with a stellar host
This was perfect for my mother's 90th. The property was elegant and so accommodating for visitors from 1.5 yrs to 90 yrs (including a couple of us in our 60s with bad knees).
Nirvaan was very communicative, responsive and helpful with everything before and during our stay. He made us feel so welcome and relaxed.
Very clean and great communication! Great for large groups. We were there for a nearby wedding and the house was more than enough size to host our out of town guests.
Beautiful expansive home, backyard and game room. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order and we had a few leaks but they did not impact our stay. Host was extremely responsive and thoughtful. Also really loved that there’s a trail so close to the property. Really enjoyed the space and vibe.
This is a great house for a gathering, lots of amenities and space to expand into and hang out. The "party room" was fun though we didn't make as much use of it as I think we should have.
Be aware that the beds are *everywhere*. Some of the rooms have very little privacy.
