This limestone archaeological site contains the oldest human remains to be found in North America, and features a main chamber, which is large enough to hold the Statue of Liberty. 4 mi. east of Angels Camp.

Angels Camp Museum
The museum houses a large collection of mining equipment, carriages and household items from the 19th century. 2 mi.

Calaveras County Museum
Located in the restored Calaveras Country Courthouse in San Andreas, the museum features artifacts and displays relevant to the history of Calaveras County, and is home to the jail that once held Black Bart, California's infamous stage coach robber. 12 mi.
