We had a wonderful time. The property was on a beautiful piece of land/lakeshore. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and very clean.
Great spot for a family vacation. Great yard and nice sandy bottom in swim area. Loved to be able to rent pontoon and explore pelican lake. Property owners were excellent with communication!
Had a great timenwithbiur group on Pelican Lake. The home was perfect for the weekend, everything needed for a great time was provided. Would recommend, and stay there again.
House was everything we could of asked for. Had a fantastic time with our friends. Randy was very responsive to questions we had during our stay. Would definitely stay here again
Beautiful view - Very clean and all necessities provided. We enjoyed the pontoon but it is old and worn and hard to start. Very relaxing week.

Fireplaces shown in pictures are not active - space heaters desperately needed in the basement
We ended up leaving this property two days early because the basement was freezing and my daughter who stayed in the downstairs bedroom became ill.
I rented this property in the winter specifically because the pictures show two fireplaces. Unfortunately, right before arrival received notification that both are for ornamental purposes only. If you are looking for a cozy winter home for a winter getaway I would recommend bringing your own space heater to this property.
On a more positive note the home is impeccably clean and the kitchen is very well equipped.

Hi Linda, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following:
- The heat is fully functioning, but since the basement is a walkout it can get cooler, especially when the temperatures are low. We apologize for any discomfort during your stay.
- We’ve confirmed that we state in the listing description, as well as the pre-stay email, that the fireplaces are only decorative, but we're sorry if this caught you off guard.
Thanks for letting us know about your stay!

Boys week
Lakeshore backyard is very level & large, ideal for activities. Older home however very well maintained. Well stock kitchen with everything needed. We rented pontoon however it wasn’t working when we got there. Owner made every attempt to get it going.
We had a wonderful time at this location. The house had plenty of room for our group of 5 adults with 2 more extra rooms we didn’t need. Large living room seating area upstairs & downstairs. A fully equipped kitchen. We kept commenting on how clean the entire house was. Plenty of seating on the sunny deck for morning breakfast. When the deck got too hot in the afternoon, there was plenty of seating below the deck in the shade. A big sandy swimming area at the house for younger kids with a large public beach minutes down the road for older kids. The quite bay leads out to the huge Pelican lake. Nice assortment of yard games for us to use. It was an added bonus to be able to have our dog stay with us. Randy was great to respond to any questions. We really had no issues except a minor one for us was the geese droppings along the grass/beach area that happened before we arrived….but that’s nature! We would definitely stay here again!
The view from the house was awesome! The kitchen was well equipped (the only thing it needed was one more frying pan)! We enjoyed all of the time on the deck and in the water, so much to do with the paddleboat and Paddle Boards! The only comment I would have is the deck needed to be repainted and better railings but it seemed they loved this property and I’m sure it’s on their radar. Overall it was a great time - only sad that the price nearly tripled for next year so we are having to look somewhere else! We would have loved to rebook it!
Very comfortable and homey VRBO, had everything we needed and then some. Four bedrooms, plus big family room gave us plenty of space each for our two couples, single adult, and kidlets, ages 7, 3, 17 months and five months. High chair was a welcome surprise! (There was also a booster chair and Packn’Play, though we had brought our own.)
Weather was out of the Dischers’ control... mid-nineties, unseasonably warm for a Minnesota June— crazy hot for us Alaskans... A/C worked perfectly. Basement quite cool. Early coffee on the deck was very pleasant, soaking up the view while listening to the birds and world wake up. Kids were excited to see two deer and a raccoon in the neighborhood. Me, too! Mama Duck with bigbunchababies swam by a few times near docks, seemed to be coming from high reeds just to left on bay edge. Loon calls were fantastic, a very quiet peaceful environment.
We were sorry it was just too hot to take the paddle boat and paddle boards out- they looked fun. Yard games, deck furniture and grill also available and on the right day we’d have really enjoyed using them.
Only drawback worth noting is it was a little further off campus than expected. Most folks for our family reunion, about seventy count, were staying at Breezy Point Resort. We were only group not. It was not as easy as we’d hoped to get there, but much of that was also impacted by the extreme heat and ages of our Littles. We rented a golf cart to add some flexibility getting around. Sean Smuda at Breezy Point Rentals was so easy to work with and the carts were new!
I recommend you check in with Pelican Lake Conservation Club for their dining specials. They raise funds for local nonprofits and community programs hosting regular breakfasts and dinners. Food was excellent! Verla was a dear in working with our group.
Owners of home, Randy and Deb, are super nice folks, emailed with them before visit, easy checkin and checkout, met them briefly as we were loading/leaving. Would highly recommend and not hesitate to come stay again! Have a great summer, all.

Very accommodating owner
Randy was very delightful to work with. He was very accommodating and flexible with our group. The house was great and had everything we needed.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and check in was easy with the door code. Location was convenient and close to the activities we had planned. We were there while the state was under a shelter in place order but we were still able to rent a ice house to do some ice fishing and snowmobiles for a day. Would highly recommend taking the short drive to Crosslake and renting snowmobiles from Seeburgs.
