Thank you for the kind review. I am so glad you enjoyed the home and the peaceful, private setting. It is one of my favorite things about the property, being able to relax in a quiet location while still having easy access to local restaurants, outdoor activities, and everything the area has to offer. I would love to host you again anytime.
We had a lovely family weekend in this well appointed home. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The water pressure was great and we enjoyed the pool table. We cooked all of our meals at home and found every thing that we needed. All in all it was a perfect weekend with skiing at Waterville valley, snowmobile with Sledadventures and our stay in this lovely home. We look forward to making it an annual event!

Thank you for the wonderful review. I am so glad your family had a great winter weekend and that the home had everything you needed for cooking, relaxing, and enjoying time together. It is great to hear you enjoyed the pool table and the nearby skiing at Waterville Valley along with snowmobiling with SledAdventures.
You were a pleasure to host and I would love to welcome you back anytime. I hope this becomes a new annual tradition for your family.
The property was located right off the highway which was nice as we wanted to go skiing and do things outside of town. The house had a nice setup for our family, I’d stay here again!
The house was as advertised. Easy access with a keypad; spacious and clean rooms; easy to use fireplace; great basement with pool table and flat screen; and comfortable beds all led to a very comfortable and satisfying stay.
Perfect home for families. Close to ski areas and summer attractions. The house is spacious, private and is well equipped with everything you need and more. The host was accessible and checked in to assure we were enjoying our stay. Great home.
Claire’s property was the perfect location for a NH getaway for our family. The house was immaculate and comfortable, with plenty of room for our three teenagers. Claire was wonderful to work with, and we hope to visit this property again.
The log cabin was gorgeous. Was exactly as described (and immaculate). Was close to Loon Mt and to the Ice castles- both of which we visited. Highly recommend it for a winter escape.
Pictures really don't do justice to the beauty to this wonderful abode. Claire, the owner, was also really great with communicating and troubleshooting any issues that arose. I'd definitely stay again.
Amazing stay/attentive hosts in a beautiful, beautiful area
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Claire's property. From the get go, she was super responsive to any questions or needs. The house was very comfortable for 6+ people w/ an amazing kitchen and outdoor deck/screened deck area. It was our first time in the Lincoln/Franconia area as well, and the state park was only a 10-15 minute drive and amazing (particularly as the leaves changed colors!). Would definitely rent this place again!
Our family of 8 stayed at this beautiful cabin a few weeks ago, and every single one of us were heartbroken to leave on our last day. There is plenty of space for everyone to have their own area, but also a very comfortable basement and dining room that accommodated all of us to have meals and play games. We will absolutely be staying here again in the future. Thank you Claire for sharing your beautiful home.
We were very happy with the location. The house is beautiful and enough yard space for kids to play. We enjoyed several meals on the large deck and enjoyed the screened in porch on a rainy night. We had enough space for our group to all have bedroom space. Close to Clark’s Bears and Lincoln Center and not a bad trip to Santa’s Village (45 mins)
Claire was a pleasure to work with and we would gladly rent from her again
This cabin was beautiful and easily accommodated our 10 person golf trip. With 2 pull out couches, a sectional in the basement and another couch in the living room, there was hardly anyone sharing a bed.
Quiet area, with a nice private yard, but easy access to the highway.
There were 2 golf courses less than 15 min from the cabin. It’s also located near plenty of hiking trails in the white mountains, a river for fishing, and a disc golf course.

Issue with the Owner
The property is nice enough, though because it's right on Route 3 it often gets loud in the middle of the night with trucks going by. Also, there is a snow mobile trail right behind the house, which is also loud. The real issue, though, is the owner and her lack of fair dealings. My wife, two kids and I rented this property for a month. One morning during the second week, the carbon monoxide alarm started going off. We tried to get in touch with the owner all day, but she did not respond. Finally, that night we had to vacate and drive two hours home; we did not want to wake up dead! The owner finally got back to us the next day and did fix the problem the next afternoon, by which time it was too late to drive back to the house and so we missed two nights there. It turns out it was a faulty alarm. We could not use the house because of a potentially dangerous situation, but the owner thinks that because it turned out not to be dangerous that she does not owe us a refund for the two nights that we had to leave. I cannot figure out how she thinks we should have known that there was no carbon monoxide in the house such that I should have stayed there with my family. When the alarm goes off you have to assume it is dangerous, right? Even so, I was willing to let this go, but then after our stay the owner decided to keep most of our security deposit saying we scratched the floor. First, I think she is making this up, but even if we did, it’s a problem that a bottle of Old English Scratch Repair would fix. Again, aside from it being loud at times because of the trucks and snowmobiles, it is a nice enough property. It just feels like this owner took advantage of us, which is why I gave it a low rating.

Hello Michael,
I’d like to preface my response with the message you left upon your departure: “My family and I had a wonderful time at your place this month. Thank you.”
As a mother, I do empathize with your concern about the beeping CO detector, and I apologize for not responding to you sooner through the VRBO application. I assumed if there was an urgent matter I would have received a phone call, or, at the very least, a text message outside of VRBO.
You mentioned in our correspondence that the alarm eventually stopped beeping at 4:52pm. The next message I received was at 9:36pm stating that you had left. At that hour, I did not see the message you had sent. I responded hastily when I did see the message and called you the very next morning. As soon as the store opened that day, I purchased (2) high-end Nest Protect monitoring systems and immediately drove to the property to install them. I also provided screen shots of the monitors showing that the CO levels were, in fact, normal at 2:49pm, less than 24 hours from when you left. I communicated my progress with you throughout the morning/afternoon. I removed and inspected the old monitor and confirmed the battery needed to be changed.
Due to these inconveniences, I would have been willing to credit you for one night’s stay, but upon checkout saw that our flooring was damaged, amongst other items. I did not factor the additional, smaller damages because of the inconvenience you experienced by choosing to leave for an evening.
Before collecting $200 of the $500 security deposit, attempts were made to remove the scratches with an oil-based cleaner, but they persisted. Please reference the photographic evidence of this damage I supplied to you in a private message. The cost to remove and replace the flooring far exceeds the amount that was withheld from the security deposit. As I mentioned to you, repair damage costs run anywhere between $800-2200. I also offered to supply you the quote I received for this. Additionally, I want to make clear that in our "House Rules" document, which are put in place to ensure a full refund of the security deposit, specifically the fourth rule, states not to move furniture and suggests by doing so, damage to personal property may result. You brought your own furniture into our home and also moved our furniture to suit your needs.
I’m truly sorry that you feel taken advantage of. That is not the truth nor my intent. Leading up to your stay, you were given a 30% discount for renting our home for 28 days, which equates to thousands of dollars in discounts. I feel that I was more than communicative throughout your stay and managed the situation that arose as best I could as the homeowner.
All the best to you and your family,
Claire
The house was beautiful! We went as a group with friends and family and it was exactly what we were looking for and it was very close to the mountains where we went hiking. 10/10 :)

About the host
Hosted by Claire
We're a small creative family of three who grew to love the white mountain region over the years. It was the perfect retreat from our busy city lives. We started this endeavor when it was just the two of us, now husband, wife and child. Our family enjoys to travel and endure all of life's experiences to the fullest. We look forward to sharing our, "Happy Place" with all of you in hopes that you will create fond memories of our beloved region.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property before we even stepped foot through the door. When that moment did happen we knew immediately that this was the home for us! The open floor plan allows family and friends to gather together in three separate spaces, but has access to other levels if privacy is needed. The exterior has plenty of outdoor space to relax or run around and play games! Each season in the white mountain region comes with new experiences and activities for all! This home has and will continue to be a meaningful place for us and hopefully our visitors!
What makes this property unique
We are centrally located between North Woodstock/Lincoln and Waterville Valley/Campton. The location of the home is close to the highway for easy access, but without the disturbance of highway noise. There are so many areas to explore north and south of the property, but if you feel like staying in and relaxing, there is plenty of room for that too.
