About the host
Hosted by Samwel
Hi, I’m Samwel, born and raised in Arusha, with a passion for hospitality, tourism, and mixology. My journey started as a porter on Mount Kilimanjaro, where I worked for two years before studying hotel management and entrepreneurship. I then spent four years in the hotel industry, specializing in food & beverage service and later traveled to Germany twice, where I gained deeper knowledge in bartending and hospitality.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it truly captures the heart and rhythm of Arusha. Everything I love is within walking distance—my favorite cafés, vibrant local shops, and essential city landmarks. It’s a place where you can feel the pulse of East Africa, a mix of cultures and people from all over the world coming together in one spot.
Arusha is a tourist city, but it doesn’t feel commercial—it feels alive. There’s real history here, from the Old German Boma to the Clock Tower that marks the center of Africa. And just steps away, you’re immersed in the colorful Maasai Market or sipping coffee at a local café watching the world go by.
What I enjoy most is the balance—you’re in a peaceful apartment, but adventure is right outside. This is the starting point for trips to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara, and Kilimanjaro. Everything begins here: the safaris, the stories, the memories. And somehow, even with all the movement around you, the neighborhood feels calm, grounded, and welcoming.
That mix—of comfort, culture, and adventure—is what makes it feel like home.

What makes Tai Africa Apartments stand out is the stunning view of Mount Meru and its unbeatable central location—just a short walk to top cafés, shops, and landmarks like the Clock Tower. It’s rare to find a place that offers both peaceful comfort and immediate access to the heart of the city. Whether you’re here to explore or unwind, the convenience and beauty of this apartment make it truly special.
