This beautifully furnished Duplex cottage (main floor ) offers 1300 square feet of living space max 6 guests. Built in 2016-2018 . Separate driveways on a 2 acre treed property in the heart of Georgian Bay . This area is truly an outdoor enthusiasts paradise with cycling, skiing, water activities, hiking, fishing,caving just minutes away! Ski at one of the many resorts in the area including Blue Mountain all between 13- 20 min drive. Minutes from the Bruce Trail on the Niagara Escarpment which is a popular attraction for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. Access for Cycling on the Georgian Trail is just a few minutes drive down the road. 5 minute drive to a small private sandy beach with shallow access and two other beaches within the same distance offering playgrounds (some sand and pebble). Super location for day tripping to the Bruce peninsula.
This area has both incredible dining and shopping and quaint streets for strolling or grabbing a coffee at a locally owned coffee shop. Local vineyards provide tours and tasting as well as a local cider/brew house. This location is also perfect if you just want to kick back and have a relaxing quiet vacation. Rent one or both units if you require more space for your gathering. Entire cottage is 2600 sq ft. . The cottage has a bright airy modern/cottage feel from the white wood cathedral ceiling in the Great Room complete with a gas fireplace for those cold days. The Master Suite includes large walk in closet, and a 3 piece bath with a stand up tiled shower. 2 other bedrooms share a bathroom. The eat in kitchen is bright and large with a 12 foot antique island with granite top seats 6. Heated floors throughout. Enjoy one of your 3 private covered porches to have a BBQ or soak up the sunshine in the winter months. We have put in a Sand Volleyball court, fire pit and have a couple of kayaks and cruiser bicycles available for your enjoyment during the spring and summer months as well as a really sweet storage shed that locks for your sport gear!

Storage gear shed houses cruiser bikes, helmets, pool noodles, beach chairs and tie downs for your use if you wish to take the kayaks out ! Nespresso Espresso , keurig machine and a french press with a starter of pods and some locally roasted coffee provided and to kick start tour activity packed day .

We loved our stay at this beautiful country property! Fantastic location near Blue Mountain, Thornbury and Meaford! Great amenities provided for everything you need! Although it's close to Hwy 26 the traffic fades to a white noise! The host Lianne was excellent at communicating and very timely and helpful at all times!

Amazing Property and Location

We were so impressed with this home and property. Beautifully decorated, clean and everything thoughtfully provided for their guests comfort. Great location with a 10-15 minute drive to towns and attractions. The cottage is well maintained and appointed with housewares and appliances all in great order. This is the place to stay in the Meaford / Thonbury / Collingwood area. Well inventoried and the host has made it so welcoming it was heard to leave. One item to note is that while the listing states 'entire home' there is also an additional 'entire home' on the below level (Unit 2) and unfortunately the renters had a dog which made our stay a little less enjoyable due to excessive barking but our host was quick to remedy and we did not hear any further barking. (The situation was out of her control but only mention since we thought we had the entire home to ourselves based on the listing.) We are already talking about a return trip (an will rent both units for family members) for a family gathering :)

This stay was amazing. It is in such a great location... very close to everything and easy to find. Upon arrival we were greeted with treats from Lianne as well as wonderful recommendations for what to do during our stay. The house was so clean and fully stocked with everything you could ever need. The property outside was so clean and well maintained. Felt like paradise. There was truly something for everyone. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.

It is a lovely property, and the owner provides many thoughtful touches (Keurig coffee pods, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, linens, paper products) that many properties and resorts do not. We are used to staying at places with close (i.e., walking) access to trails, and this property required a 5 minute drive to the trails and beach. The only real issue for us was with the climate control - the air conditioning unit was in the living room where it could feel really cold when trying to cool the whole house - and bedroom doors had to stay open so as not to become overly hot. With that said, I realize many properties don't have air conditioning at all, so this might not be considered a concern by most.

Nice Getaway

The property was just as described in the posting. The place was spacious enough for the 6 of us who stayed on the property. The cottage was very clean, and we enjoyed the use of the bicycles, kayaks, volleyball court and the firepit. We also very much enjoyed the welcoming gift of local products! Thanks Lianne! It was a short drive to Christie Beach (5 min), and into Thornbury and Meaford. Overall it a great time to get away in a peaceful environment. but close enough to all the local attractions.

Excellent family stay near Meaford

Our family (2 adults, 4 kids aged 8-12) had a wonderful time at Lianne’s property for a family ski holiday. The main level unit is beautifully designed and appointed with modern amenities — all very comfortable. The Master is huge with a large walk in closet (big enough for all our stuff). Heated floors throughout plus gas fireplace are a plus. The kitchen has everything you need like home. The other two bedrooms are good with double beds. Ended up being a bit tight for our family so we put an air mattress in the main living area to create another sleeping space. For a family of 4 (or 5 of willing to share beds) it would be perfect. The location is excellent — a few minutes from Meaford and only 5-6 mins from Thornbury. Very convenient close to 26 but just far enough that you don’t hear the noise. Note you can see 26 from the east windows. The west windows have a beautiful forested hill view. Lianne was super responsive and helpful and everything in the house was easy to use. She even set up a Christmas tree for the kids and had some treats on arrival which was so nice. Overall highly recommend!!

Amazing Cottaging Stay with Nearby Amenities

We couldn’t have picked a better location for the August week-long stay with our family of 2 adults a small 2 young kids. Lianne’s cottage is conveniently located within a 25 min scenic drive from Blue Mountains Village, Collingwood, Owen Sound, with all the attractions and amenities there. Food shopping is even easier locally in town. Plenty of accessible beaches suitable for swimming within a 10km radius and the kids had much fun in the water! Highly recommend Scenic Caves Adventure if you have young children. Also search for nearby lookout points on Google on a clear night to watch the Milky Way and chase shooting stars. Remember to pick up some pies at the Goldsmith Farm Market on your way home, you won’t regret it. The cottage itself has everything you’d ask for - brand new, well equipped everything with modern design and tasteful decor, feels like a resort! Beach volleyball, marshmallows at the fire pit and bike rides are all kids’ favorite during our stay. Lianne is very hospitable and easy to communicate with before, during and after the stay. Thanks for adding another pleasant page to our family’s memory lane!

Absolutely fantastic property. Located between Blue Mountain and Owen Sound, is great and centrally located . When we arrived, our host Lianne had left us a berry pie on the kitchen counter. Delicious. The property amenities give you all the touches of your own home plus some extras. The comfortable beds are spritzed with aromatics. The showers equipped with spa quality shampoo/ conditioner and body wash. Plenty of upscale spa towels. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Lianne was very attentive to anything we needed, including a brand new 4K flat screen smart TV when I mentioned that there was a colour issue with the one that was there. Weber BBQ. This property is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Hope to return in the future.

Spacious and well-designed cottage

Thank you very much for the pampering hospitality in the cottage, we really enjoyed every moment ... We really liked the design and the atmosphere and all the little details that were there from spices to a beach bag with towels. We were a bit disappointed that the lake shore is not closed but it is really our mistake that we did not check the map. We will definitely recommend and will be happy to return in the future.

Lianne’s place is exactly as written. It is fully stocked right down to needle and thread which we used. The house is comfortable and peaceful. The beds are comfortable as are the pillows. Amazing property

This is a beautiful home that is the perfect location for a getaway. Our host Lianne was awesome, all the touches, fresh fruit, pies and she has everything you need. Two beautiful decks, to enjoy as well as a nice barbecue and fire pit which we enjoyed. Would definitely recommend this location if you are considering the blue mountain area.
