The charm of this apartment, which is in a quiet Victorian street, is complemented by beautiful features and decoration, including antiques, luxury furnishings and original artwork. The space

There is one large double bedroom, an elegant living room (with dining area, fireplace and original artwork), a stylish shower room, a fully-equipped modern kitchen, and a private outdoor patio with seating area and some garden features.

We are pleased to offer our stylishly designed apartment centrally located in the West Kensington area, which is perfect for a convenient stay with easy access to the charming and historic Barons Court area of West London, in close proximity to cosmopolitan cafés and restaurants and excellent convenient transport links to central London.

The location is ideal for visitors to the capital. This vibrant and historic district has all the local amenities on your doorstep that city living provides, within easy walking distance. This private apartment is based in a quiet residential street close to excellent services locally. It is ideal for business visitors, sightseers or weekend getaways. The apartment is very close to The Queen’s Club, the world-famous host of the international lawn tennis tournament.

The apartment has bespoke design with spacious luxury living accommodation is a private location with its own gated access. The living room is comfortable and exceptionally elegantly furnished with individual decorative effects, eye-catching artwork and furnishings to reflect the classic Victorian style of the residence and building. There is generous sleeping accommodation which provides a king size double bed for comfortable sleeping for two adult guests. There is a comfortable dining space with antique furniture. We are confident that all our guests will feel instantly at home in our apartment.

Our philosophy is very much that guest accommodation is not simply somewhere to sleep on your visit to London. We believe that we have been attentive to detail to ensure that the many unique features of our apartment will make you want to spend time relaxing in its elegant charm while you visit London.

LOCAL SERVICES

There is on-street metered (paid) parking in the quiet street outside the apartment. There is bright nighttime streetlighting.

The apartment is served by excellent local services, including cafés, restaurants and shops. There are local express supermarkets within a very short walking distance (Waitrose and Tesco). There are several well-known local pubs, including the excellent ‘Curtains Up’ (which serves good food and has a theatre) and the Colton Arms, both within a short walking distance. Also nearby (about 20 minutes’ walk) are various historic pubs which line the River Thames near Hammersmith Bridge, including the Blue Anchor and the Rutland Arms, which are both very popular.

The beautiful gardens of Margravine Cemetery are a 10 minutes’ walk from the apartment. Charing Cross Hospital is also 15 minutes’ walk from the apartment.

The apartment also has easy transport connection to London Heathrow Airport via the London Underground (Piccadilly Line) and by road (A4/M4).

Contemporary West London has definitely grown up around Barons Court since this apartment was constructed in the 1890s. This Conservation Area remains an unspoilt enclave of stucco-rendered townhouses. The area is a memorable sanctuary in the heart of West London.

LIVING ROOM WITH DINING AREA

Beyond the hallway is the door to the living room and dining area.

The living room is elegant, beautifully furnished, relaxing and homely with original décor, artwork and design effects, as well as a large fireplace (which is not in use) with a bespoke over-mantel mirror. There is a home-from-home feel with all the creature comforts and elegant lighting necessary for a pleasing welcome after a shopping spree or before dinner with friends. There are refined table lamps, silver candlesticks and a silver chandelier.

There are two armchairs and a two-seater velvet sofa, all with bespoke cushions. There is also a large velvet stool/low table. The living room has wooden floors throughout and a new large colourful oriental rug. The artwork in the living room includes a historic map of Yorkshire, a small painting of the Netherlands, original artwork showing the exterior of the Brompton Oratory church at South Kensington, a Victorian painting of the interior of Durham Cathedral and two original still life paintings by contemporary artist Peter Kotka.

The dining area has a Georgian drop-leaf (fully extendable) dining table with two comfortable dining chairs. It can also be used as a workspace with electrical sockets in close proximity to the dining table.

The living room gazed patio door has elegant bespoke curtains with tie-backs.

PRIVATE OUTDOOR PATIO

The full-height glazing in the patio doors provides an elegant view in the sitting room into the rear private paved patio which has garden features and exterior lighting, for morning coffees or evening drinks. There are two rattan-style comfortable armchairs and a glazed rattan-style table.


FULLY-EQUIPPED KITCHEN

The property is fully equipped for all your cooking and dining needs, including gas hob, large fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Full provision of wine glasses, crockery and cooking utensils are provided for all your dining needs. There is also a washer/dryer.


LUXURY SHOWER ROOM

There is a modern shower room on the ground floor accessed from the kitchen with bespoke fittings and complimentary toiletries for your welcome. The metro-tiled décor and bathroom fittings are intended to compliment the 19th Century building’s architectural style. There is a marble-topped 19th Century side cabinet. There is a classic style modern radiator with towel-rail with a large mirror. There is also a wall-mounted vanity/shaving mirror adjacent to the pediment handbasin.

There is a wall-mounted framed public bus roll-blind ‘West Kensington’ sign and also a framed 1980s school band poster!

There are bespoke Roman blinds in the kitchen and shower room.

CLASSIC DOUBLE BEDROOM

The large double bedroom has a bespoke 19th Century painted wardrobe with ample wardrobe and drawer storage for two adults.

There is an elegant art nouveau fireplace (not in use) with a 19th Century framed print of New York City. There are plaster casts by Timothy Richards of 18th Century architect Sir Christopher Wren and 19th Century designer and political activist, William Morris and floral mantel decorations.

There is a wall-mounted television in the bedroom. (Please note that there is no television in the living room, although there is high-speed internet) with internet access and apps such as Netflix and BBC iPlayer from which guests can access their personal accounts.

There are French Empire marble-topped beside tables with wall mounted beside lamps either side of the king size bed.

There is a contemporary armchair and Georgian keyhole desk in the bedroom window, with a large contemporary lamp. There is a contemporary floral ceiling light.

The bedroom is carpeted throughout and there are bespoke crewel design full-length curtains and roller blinds for privacy. The bedroom looks out onto the private gated access steps.

SERVICE IN THE APARTMENT

The cosy property is fully centrally heated throughout, warm and welcoming with a digital temperature control panel in the hallway. There are radiators in each room, including the hallway and shower room.

Enjoy modern comforts with free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy living space designed for relaxation.

The apartment includes fresh quality cotton bedlinen, pillows, towels and luxury cushions.
