This was my favorite VRBO site of the 3 that we visited on our 10 day road trip around Oregon. We were able to control the temperature, the place was huge and well decorated. The couch was perfect for watching movies on a DVD player. This town is small, with almost no services, but this is the nicest house in town as far as we could see. She gave us some honey that she makes as a bee keeper, and left little chocolates. The bed was so comfortable. The whole experience was just what I hoped for.

Spacious, quiet, clean house with a huge kitchen. Very comfortable casual seating. Fully-fenced front and backyard was perfect for our bouncy golden retriever who needed to burn off energy after a long day of traveling in the car. Tastefully decorated with photos of the Painted Hills. Host provided plenty of local tourism information , dining recommendations, and even a jar of honey from her business.This is an excellent basecamp from which to explore the John Day fossil beds. It is just minutes from the Painted HIlls unit, and an hour driving north to the Clarno unit or east to the Sheep Rock unit.

Nice place! Small town- We got lucky and barely made it to grab dinner at Tiger Brewery nearby. Comfortable! Extras included an impressive selection of quality teas with local honey. We spent the evening enjoying a game of Pictionary with our son and his fiancé. Memories made!

This home was both very clean and well cared for. All appliances worked and supplies of coffee, tea, local honey and Ghirardelli chocolates were perfect. We were in the area for the John Day Fossils beds and were mid-range to all. Highly recommend if Fossil and the area are of interest.

I really loved my stay here. The house was beautifully decorated, well stocked, and very clean. I loved the cozy beds and pillows. This is a sweet, teeny town. The host was considerate and I loved the gift of her home-raised honey. I would definitely not hesitate to stay again.

The house was immaculate! Check in instructions given in advance so no need to worry day of arrival. Very well stocked and instructions included owners number for emergency issues. Yard had grass for my four legged friend. The Painted Hills were a short distance away.

The house was delightful, and the couch bed was comfortable for my teen. It was also very well stocked - pots, pans, shampoos, big fridge etc. They also had a wonderful back patio. It was our favorite stay in Oregon so far.Mitchell's little grocery store was also surprisingly well stocked for its size. The gas was expensive but it's also the only one around for awhile.Highly recommend!
