Charming, sunny, open concept chalet on Mount Moosilauke by the Baker River! Climb 4,803 ft Mt. Moosilauke from our doorstep! Swim, tube or kayak in the Baker River by our street! Ski the nearby Loon and Cannon mountains! Ski, snowmobile, or ATV the trails running from our street! Walk to the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge on Hurricane Trail from Breezy Point Meadow at the north end of our street! Stargaze from our porch, yard, or Breezy Point Meadow with 360 degree views! The chalet is located inside the White Mountains National Forest.
3 bdrs 2.5 bths, sleeps 8, cathedral ceilings, skylights, bright, spaceous, yet cozy home, full kitchen, large diningroom table and kitchen island, wrap-around deck, lovely yard with lawn surrounded by woods, fire pit and gas grill to enjoy. Air Conditioning covers the upper two levels, the walkout basement naturally stays cool in the summer. Seasonal mountain views. We are two houses away from a wonderful swimming hole. Swimming, hiking/biking trails, snowmobiling, kayaking, fishing near the house. Wonderful lakes are close by!

Family Fall trip

This property was great for our family. The kitchen was very well equipped. Large table for talking, playing cards. Beautiful location with lots of area to walk and hike. Very quiet street. Directions were perfect. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Owners were quick to respond with any questions. Beds comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

3 men and Harleys for bike week

No internet no phone service for couple of days made it hard to plan things not knowing weather or being able to connect with freinds in wentworth but we survived ? Wasn’t able to contact owner with no internet cell phones but got lucky seen a email saying internet is working again ? I never look at emails

Quiet setting

Everything was great. 2 things that could be improved on. Electric stove could be upgraded as burners are not level. Maybe some blinds for kitchen. Kitchen windows are clear view of neighbors. Host was responsive and helpful.

I'm Orshi Burton, owner of Moose Chalet, my family's vacation home. Our families, the Burtons and Truths, are two of the oldest families in our area. The Burtons were the first postmasters of Warren, and the Truths ran the East Haverhill post office. My husband, John, spent his childhood listening to the sound of the brooks from his bedroom window and climbing the many mountains of the Whites. His favorite has always been Mount Moosilauke and it is mine as well. I love its long skyline between its double peaks. I adore the Gorge Brook Trail and I come home from the top to the house on the Carriage Road Trail. We, the Burtons, are avid climbers and skiers and we revel in the beauty of this area. We love sharing our house with respectful guests when we are away, so that others can enjoy our slice of paradise as well. We hope that guests' stay in the White Mountains will foster a life-long love of the outdoors, and a deep respect for Mother Nature's bounty.
