Surfside stay

The neighborhood was great to walk our dog in and it was very close to the beach! We enjoyed the water - river area there in the back yard and saw alot of wildlife!

Excellent home in quaint community

Very nice home beside a small lake. Neighborhood is quiet, excellent area for biking and there were a few restaurants/bars just a three minute bike ride away. Short walk to beach. Would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful time Beth.

Perfect for Family

Located in a nice quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the beach. Literally the perfect combo for a family get away. Pet friendly too. With a yard for the kids and the dog to play in and everything you need plus some extras. Literally a 3 to 5 minute walk to the beach. It was clean and easy to keep clean. If we ever come back to Surfside we will definitely try to book this place again!

Disappointment

Subjecting my family to this house was a complete embarrassment. I am very skeptical of the posted reviews based on the condition of this house. The house appears, on line, as a quaint vintage beach house but in reality is a house that has not been updated (except for a few select items) in far too many years. Many fixtures in the house actually look original including the badly painted cabinetry. The furniture was soft seating and extremely warn and old. The ceiling has been patched multiple times due to water damage, the air duct vents in the ceiling are black with mold and constantly drip water. You had to be very careful in the master bedroom of sitting any personal items in the floor due to the water. The master bedroom had a strong odor of ‘dirty feet’. We opened the windows, sprayed Lysol and mopped the floor to no avail. Finally we washed the comforter which fixed the problem. The old HVAC unit is in an alcove type space on the main floor covered with a curtain. You can’t sleep due to the recurring loud noise generated, from what we think, was a pump device. The china, glass, silverware was all extremely cheap. The price point on this house was extremely high and I literally felt cheated. The house is in a great area but in need of aggressive repair/updating and some serious thought put into the guest experience for that price point.

Only 2 blocks to the beach! Very clean and everything you need to cook at home. Beds are a little hard though. Overall a great location and great place to stay.

Mother's Day Getaway

This property served us well for our short stay at Surfside Beach. The house was clean and very well stocked for guests. The owners have thought of everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Great location

Very good rental. Only problem was the previous renter didn’t cleanup after their dog so we had to do a sweep of the yard first.( big dog that ate a lot!!)

Great Get Away

We rented the house after our May vacation was postponed due to Covid. We own a camper and usually camp at Huntington and our grown children get their own place. This older but well maintained and exceptional clean home was a God Send. The owner goes above and beyond to make your stay one of the best. As some beach homes it is nestled in between other homes that our occupied by owners. The top level is very accommodating and the lower has two bedrooms and it’s own bath. We rented golf carts and was just a short stroll to public access beach with golf cart parking. One of the big plus’s for us was that once we received the contact information it was actually the owner and found out she cleans the home herself and you can tell the difference. I would highly recommend this for your next family vacation.

This home is everything it advertised that it was! Gorgeous home, steps from the beach. I would definitely rent this beautiful home again. I rented from 9-13-19 thru 9-21-19. Couldn't have asked for better accommodations.

Amazing family property!

This home is absolutely beautiful. We stayed this past week, with family and children. It is nothing short of the photos. It was clean, and stocked with items for us to use. Such as cleaning supplies, outdoor games, extra blankets & towels, and a whole lot of stuff in the kitchen (crock pot, regular & kuerig coffee machine, pots and pans, utensils dishware) also beach chairs and umbrellas. There is so much seating space, and extra beds for use. The neighborhood is very quiet which was nice for our family. It was also 2 blocks from the ocean, which is a quick walk. I contacted the property manager prior to the trip and she was very nice. This home was just perfect, and we will definitely book again if we ever get the chance.
