Enjoy the beautifully renovated and spacious apartment - Casa Brunello di Montalcino -in the 17th century building with some nice original pieces, combining the traditional Tuscan countryside look with modern high-quality furniture and design. From the 30 square meter roof terrace you can soak in one of the best views of the town and the spectacular Crete Senesi as well as the UNESCO-protected Val d'Orcia. The 200 square meter apartment over two floors has three large bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space, two large bathrooms, and comes with a fully-equipped designer kitchen. There are smart TVs in all bedrooms and a living room with a fireplace, a large TV, and comfortable recliner sofas. The apartment is equipped with an advanced system for year-round humidity and temperature control and uses a floor-based system for heating and cooling. There are no ugly or noisy air conditioning units or radiators to be seen inside the apartment!

Enjoy the convenience of being able to walk home from a nice lunch or dinner, and having fresh grocery and deli supplies one minute away.

The property is in a great location and has amazing views from the rooftop balcony. It has full amenities, is very spacious and extremely clean. Montalcino is a great centrally located city to be able to explore much of the Tuscany area. Lars (owner) is an excellent communicator with great recommendations to explore the area. In addition, Mauro is the local manager who was so helpful and responsive when we needed anything. This was one of the best properties we have ever stayed at and would love to come back again.

Perfect Tuscany Wine Country stay with friends

The property was amazing for our group of 6 (3 couples). Great finish, very clean with good facilities (great roof terrace with bbq and amazing views. Host was most helpful with lots of tips on where to wine and dine. Check-in was very easy and the local guide was most helpful.

Absolutely Amazing Apartment

This was the most beautiful apartment that made the stay in Montalcino so extraordinary. The view are incredible, the kitchen is well stocked, and the communication with Lars and Mauro was terrific. It was very hard to leave. Can't wait to stay here again!

This apartment is just great. Spacious, clean and cool. Absolute highlight is the terrace on the top floor, from which great views on the surrounding valleys. Groceries, coffee, snacks just a few steps away.

Fabulous apartment. Wonderful location in beautiful town of Montalcino. So well appointed and equipped- lots of space. Only problem were the number of stairs that needed to be climbed as I had a leg injury. Have never seen an apartment so well appointed with thoughtful items

Best things about this place.We had excellent communication with Lars, the owner. Mauro, the manager is super efficient and very pleasant. The apartment is well equipped, with wonderful old tuscan charm, comfortable beds and amazing terrace overlooking Montalcino. The town itself is lovely and not very busy with tourists, with many good restaurants, shops and wine stores. It is on our list to come back to.

Great Location

We had an amazing stay at this apartment in Montalcino. The apartment if fully equipped with everything you may need. Beds were comfortable, showers were great, and the property manager Mauro was amazing!!! He made sure we new how everything in the apartment functioned and was easy to communicate with. I would defined come back and stay here.

Most enjoyable! Beautiful apartment with everything you need. Clean and well taken care of.

Mauro was attentive and gave wonderful instructions for the apartment. We hired a chef, Tuscan Chef Alessandro, and he prepared a fabulous meal in a well stocked kitchen. There were six of us staying in the apartment and there was plenty of room. The biggest selling point is the terrace.

The location is A+. It is spacious, especially for longer stays. Mauro, the property manager couldn't have been more responsive or helpful. The antique furniture is nice but dresser and drawers in master could be more functional for longer stays. We would have appreciated nicer towels and sheets as well considering how long we stayed, but overall, it's a wonderful property.

Thanks for the constructive feedback and review. In order to keep improving the guest experience, I have made many big and small improvements in every one of the ten years I have rented out my vacation home. Feedback from friends, family, and guests have been instrumental, always carefully considered, and much appreciated. Unfortunately, I can't easily act on all feedback. Guests who stay longer than a week get various benefits and tokens of my appreciation, including extra cleaning plus change of bed linen and towels. However, it's not practical to give guests different quality bed linen and towels depending on the length of their stay. Together with my local helpers, who also work with other properties and hotels, I have confirmed that the quality of my bed linen and towels is fully in line with what to expect at such a premium property in Montalcino. In order to keep providing the spacious feeling and to accommodate guests who want to put in an extra single bed in the main downstairs bedroom, I can't replace the current wardrobe/dresser with a bigger one. Some very satisfied guests have stayed up to two months in this bedroom and this is the bedroom I use during my own visits. These satisfied long-stay guests may have taken advantage of the spacious custom-made wardrobes on the upper floor in case they had brought a lot of clothes and needed more wardrobe space. Together with my very capable local helpers, I will listen to constructive feedback to keep providing a premium guest experience. This includes providing guests with an updated personal sightseeing guide on what to see and do while in Tuscany and Montalcino, high quality furnishings, a well equipped kitchen, and good customer service. Later this week my local helpers will be happy to show the returning guests the improvements that have just been made to the upstairs shower.

Exceeded expectations

My wife and I had a great time in Montalcino. Lars’ apartment was precisely as advertised - the beautiful view off the balcony, though, can not be adequately depicted in photos. It’s amazing. From checkin to checkout, Mauro made sure everything was right. He was a tremendous support throughout our stay. We will be coming back!

Great apartment in an amazing small town

This apartment is exactly as advertised. The Medieval city of Montalcino is a truly amazing place. 2 days in Rome was plenty for our group, but we could have stayed here for 2-3 months. Mauro met us and helped us with all of our luggage. He is such a nice man and you can tell how proud he is of where he lives. Can’t say I blame him!!!!

Fantastic Apartment in a perect location.

An incredible experience staying in this absolutely lovely, charming and comfortable apartment in the heart of Montalcino, Tuscany. Everything needed is foot steps away from the Apartment, great restaurants, wine stores, markets and caffes. Apartment is new and updated with all the amenities of home plus spectacular views off the patio. A truly memorable experience. The owners manager locally in Montalcino was top shelf and a wealth of local knowledge. If we ever found our selves going back, hands down, this is where we would stay.

Beautiful Stay in Montalcino

This apartment is located in the northern end of town and is absolutely beautiful and gives you a very authentic feel for living in Montalcino. It also has all you could ask for from an amenities standpoint as well as a parking permit (which is key) if you have a car as we did. The owner and local property manager are great in terms of communication and support. The private terrace is even better in-person with views that are just unreal. We rented in Sorrento, Florence, Roma and Montalcino on this trip and nothing comes close to this apartment. We plan on returning in the future.

The cons - the apartment is not "air conditioned". There is some sort of cold water piping running through the main floor that does provide some relief, however the upstairs bathrooms do not benefit from this system at all.Also, free parking is very limited and it causes concern when you leave Montalcino for the day. The worst part is we received a parking ticket for 42 euros even though we parked in the designated free spaces with the permit provided by the owner's manager.I would have also appreciated a laminated instruction card for the microwave, dishwasher, oven and washing machine to make operation simple.Pros - location is great, beds are very comfortable, showers work well, and the best thing is the roof top patio with a spectacular view. Great place to enjoy a bottle of wine at sunset. Also, Mauro is very helpful and is there to help you with any questions you have.

Valuable, constructive feedback from my guests help me make some improvements and adjustments every year.

Why they chose this property

As a serious wine-lover and in love with Tuscany since my first visit in 2000, the choice of Montalcino was easy. The number one reason for ending up in Montalcino is the wonderful Brunello wine, and after a complete apartment renovation job since 2011 I have realized my old dream of having a local wine cellar (unfortunately, access to the wine cellar is not available as part of rentals; I can just help you with advice on where to get the best deals and advice on sampling and buying wine). The spectacular views from the roof terrace was the number one reason for choosing this particular apartment inside Montalcino. I have rented and stayed in nice places in the Tuscan countryside since 2000 but I chose to be inside the town walls of Montalcino also for some important convenience reasons: Being able to walk to the bakery and grocery store, and being able to walk home after a nice lunch or dinner with some great wine. There are no taxis in the Tuscan countryside or smaller towns.
