PowderDayz Chalet - Walk to Base - Private Hot Tub w/ Views, Pet Friendly, Garage
** Discounts on Ski & Snowboard Rentals, Airport Shuttles ** Discounts offered for lengthy stays
Welcome to the PowderDayz Chalet, by Mountain Vacation Lodging. This beautiful, pet friendly duplex home is defined by it's very convenient access to the ski slopes and a consistently high quality throughout. Located less than 100 yards from the beginner level "Stampede" ski trail, guests will really enjoy the location's close proximity to hiking, biking, and of course, skiing & snowboarding trails! The location really is very special. Not many guests in Steamboat get to experience such a beautiful home that is also so very close and convenient to the ski slopes! Not only are the ski trails super convenient, but the owners have built out a wonderful ski storage room complete with Boot & Glove Dryers that will have your fingers and toes toasty and warm as you head out to the slopes in the morning, or after your lunch break! So you want a good location? This home has it, but the home itself will also impress! There are multiple living areas, a flexible bed set up, a large kitchen & dining room, as well as a wraparound deck & patio, making this home large enough to accommodate big groups in comfort and style. The kitchen remodel added solid quartz counters and stainless steel appliances to an already spacious, bright space, which also features vaulted ceilings & skylights. More recently, all four of the bathrooms were renovated. Here the owners and their designers blended sophistication and luxury with just the right amount of western touches. In particular, the master bathroom is quite a treat. Slide the barn door open and enter your spa like space! You will love coming home to this place after a day out exploring. Outside you can relax and soak in the large hot tub on the main level deck, which also has a gas BBQ grill and in summer, an outdoor dining area. There is also a lower level patio with furniture, a fire pit, flower gardens and squirrels scampering among the live oaks. In both winter and summer, the outdoor space is nice and private. With pet loving owners, this home is offered as pet friendly, but only with advance approval for well-trained dogs and respectful, responsible dog owners! Please call or inquire for more details about this fabulous home! Also, please note that there is a set of 7-10 stairs, from the parking area down to the front door. From the entry level it is one flight of stairs down to the main level, which includes the kitchen, living and dining areas, a half bathroom, and the primary bedroom suite. The lower level of the home, which includes the other 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, patio, and backyard, is one flight down from there.

Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns. ** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. If you are booking for a lengthy stay, please contact us before booking online to discuss your group, your dates, the rates, the cleaning schedule, etc.

Enjoyed our family vacation at Powderdayz Chalet. We found this mountain home to be clean and cozy. The fireplace in the living room and the hot tun on the deck were so relaxing. Really appreciated being able to bring our family pet along and the easy access to the ski trails. The kitchen was well-stocked for preparing family meals and we enjoyed playing games around the large dining room table.
Overall, the place was good, the reviews were very accurate. I would say ski adjacent. The walk was not bad but was not easy after a long day of skiing. The bedrooms downstairs bedrooms were a little cramped, but we were only 5 so it wasn't too tight. i would imagine more people would feel crowded. There are lots of steps, so be prepared. I would highly recommend making friends with a driver if you do not rent a car. The walk down to the square is not bad if conditions are right but the walk up, especially at night, is not easy. The wood burning fireplace & hot tub were very nice. We enjoyed the privacy of the home, and the views were great. Note- there is construction right across the street so there will be noise during on weekday.

Ski Week Stay
House was in very good shape, exactly as depicted in the photos & description. We had a great stay.
PowderDayz provided us a great location for a family ski gathering. We enjoyed the convenience of the short walk to the ski slopes. The unit was well appointed and very comfortably accommodated our group of 7 adults. We enjoyed evenings in front of the fire place in this roomy, yet cozy chalet. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. We hope to return!

Thanks for being such a great guest. Please look for us again the next time you come to town!
We loved our stay at this wonderful home! The communication was also really good, we heard right back from the property manager when inquiring about some things. Wonderful family vacation and would definitely stay there again!
Overall this house is fantastic. The location to the slopes is perfect and it was a great place to spend our holiday. The hot top is fantastic and all the beds are very comfortable.
The property managers at Mountain Vacation Lodging were incredibly responsive with everything we needed, and the house location was fantastic! Just a short 1-2 min walk down the road to get to and from the lift. We were 10 ppl, which the house sleeps, but it was a little tight (the room with the two twins doesn't have a closet or dedicated bathroom). The main living area was well kept and the master suite was spacious. Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay! The wood burning fireplace definitely adds to winter time ambiance.
Awesome location. Great hiking and wildlife viewing. Saw and moose nearby. My family enjoyed the hot tub and the large kitchen. The master bed was definitely comfortable.
This property was exactly as described…which is outstanding. Very comfortable with a great floor plan. Ski in/ ski out is so easy. We met the owners on the other side of the duplex who were very friendly. I would highly recommend.
Everything you need to enjoy a stay is included. Nestled in the hillside with a beautiful view. Lots of room inside and out for our group and dogs. If you need to work remote the Wi Fi works well. Hot tub was an added benefit we enjoyed.

Thank you for your kind review! We're delighted to hear that you had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay and that the beautiful hillside views, spacious accommodations, and hot tub made your experience even better. We're also glad the Wi-Fi met your needs for remote work. It was a pleasure hosting your group and your dogs! We hope to welcome you back again soon!
Had a wonderful time meeting up with family in this spacious condo steps from the slopes. Easy in and out for family with small children. Appreciated the heated ski/boot storage and drying rack!
Instructions were clear and property was just as advertised. Loved the access to the garage and heated area for our ski gear. Walk to slopes was minimal. The place is spotless and loved the hot tub with it's great views.

Thank you for the positive review Orlando. We pride ourselves on keeping our listings up to date and accurate so are pleased to receive your review. Hopefully we’ll see you again in Steamboat or another one of our destinations!
We were their for our son's wedding.
Very nice house with everything you can possibly need. Comfy beds. Very convenient to Steamboat ski village. We also loved that you could walk right to a chairlift area and walk down the mountain to the village. We were there in summer.
Really loved how every light switch is labeled so we did not not have to turn lights by trial and error!
Our visit to this mountain home was to gather family together after several years of not seeing each other. The home was a perfect layout and welcoming retreat for both adults and children and our dog. We’ll equipped, clean and relaxing. Would recommend a little more emphasis on the amount of stairs both outside and inside the property.
We were a 3 generation family with 8 adults and 2 infants. The location to the ski runs was terrific - just a short walk. As advertised there are a lot of stairs to many levels, but they weren’t that bad. We enjoyed the private hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked. Perhaps our only complaint was the twin beds were very uncomfortable for adults, so 2 couples stayed in the queen bunk room instead of utilizing the twin room for adults. We appreciated access to he laundry facilities.
We’d recommend the PowderDaze Chalet to others.
Beautiful home that has everything you need...be sure to open drawers for games and baking pans we didn't see until the last day. It's not a true ski-in/ski-out, but rather a short walk. Also note there are no buses from the house, so you would have to walk to the base (no side walks and hilly) or ski down to catch a bus to town. Property manager is fantastic. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

stairs
It should be noted that there are 5 flights of stairs to get from parking to the lower level of this house. That's alot with suitcases Had to block stairs off as we had a toddler and the steps are open. Had I been aware we would have looked at another location. The floors had not been cleaned. I travel alot and this is the first subpar review I have written.

We are always very appreciative of guest feedback as it helps us provide the best experience for all future guests. To clarify, there is one exterior flight of stairs from the parking area down to the entry level. There is another flight from the entry level down to the main level, which includes the master suite, and then one flight down from there to the lower level, which includes the other 3 bedrooms. As the mother of a toddler, I completely understand having to block off stairs, as I also have to do that at vacation rentals. If open stairs are a major concern, then this might not be the best property for those guests. If guests have those concerns and voice them prior to booking, we’ll always be honest in describing the home and making sure it’s a good fit for that particular group. The floors were cleaned and they are always cleaned prior to guests arriving and post departure. If any guests reach out to us upon arrival or during their stay to alert us of a cleanliness concern, it is always addressed promptly. Had this been brought to our attention during the stay, the housekeeper would have quickly stopped by to do a spot clean of any necessary parts of the floor. We highly encourage communication from our guests before/during their stays and are available for them 24/7.

Nice place, poorly kept and managed! Encountered serious safety Hazards!!
First impression of the property is: "This is a great home amidst the ski slopes of Steamboat". Halfway up the slopes, it should be awesome. We found it to be poorly kept, full of safety hazards and certainly not worth over $400 a day.
SAFETY ISSUES:
There are two steps leading from the dining area to the great room. They are not lighted, a highly polished wood floor that blends in the two areas and no step treads. Four of the seven members of our party slipped on them, one fell and broke his foot. (No responsibility or offers to help monetarily taken by owners or management)
There is a great deck with picnic table and hot tub. But one of us almost fell through the railing (12 feet above the patio) because the railing screws had rusted out, therefore the railing was not attached to the post!
"Throw" rugs abound in bedrooms and baths. No "non-skid" backing.
Picnic table benches are worn, cracked and warped. Great for splinters! One so warped it's unusable.
HOUSE KEEPING ISSUES:
Dishwasher waste water filter cylinder hadn't been cleaned in a long time and smelled. We cleaned it.
Same with Keurig coffee maker, water wouldn't even fill coffee mugs. We found the cleaning kit and fixed it.
The deck is surrounded by Gamble Oaks which provide nice privacy for the hot tub but on the other side, they completely block a potentially beautiful view of valley below. Why have 4 Adirondack chairs for seating when you can't see anything but untrimmed trees!
Nice kitchen and appliances. One cabinet door above refrigerator has an unscrewed hinge and hanging by the other hinge. Utensil drawers are unsorted and in general a mess.
The Steamboat area is spectacular for outdoor activities year round. It's to bad there are places like this that rake in the money and provide threats to your safety and so many disappointments in maintenance. When renting a vacation home, we expect attention to details for our money! We won't be back to this property or any Resortia managed units!

This reviewer is misleading people out of spite. The home is very well kept. The throw rugs are of high quality and have stitched in, non slip material on the bottom. The Keurig coffee maker is less than 5 months old and works perfectly. The outdoor railing screws were not rusted out. They were rusty and loose, but there was no danger. The gambel oaks are trimmed every year to provide the perfect amount of privacy for the hot tub and deck, while also continuing to attract birds, chipmunks, squirrels, moose, and other wildlife, which hopefully you will enjoy watching from the comfy Adirondack chairs. The kitchen drawers, and even the cabinets, are labeled and reorganized periodically between groups. Between the living and dining areas, there is a beautiful railing up/down the stairs which also extends from the steps across to the wall. This railing clearly defines the two spaces, and in a tasteful way, makes it impossible to not see that there are steps, while providing support and protection from falls while using the steps. While we are very sorry that someone from this group injured himself, there is nothing abnormal or dangerous about these stairs. The guest requested we pay medical bills, even though the rental contract states that guests are enter and use the premises at their own risk. We are disappointed that they decided to post a spiteful review which manufactures or exaggerates issues only after requesting undue compensation. Future guests can be assured that this home is not dangerous, is well maintained, well cleaned, and has a great location!

Very nice property. Wish we'd known how noisy it would be from all of the construction activity on the nearby ski slope. The trucks started very early each morning. Otherwise, it was very enjoyable. The hot tub, while very nice and we used it frequently, is not level and we wondered if the deck would sink further during our stay. Needs attention.
