A wonderful house for a quick winter getaway. The house was immaculate and very well equipped. The kids loved how comfy the beds were too. Perfect for some winter sun

We had a short, but excellent stay at Casa Nobre. The check in process was easy, and we had great communication with Clare. The house is beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished inside and out. Unfortunately we had little opportunity to use the outside areas, but in the summer it must be a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful space. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen fully equipped...Clare has thought of everything! The location was quiet and we had no problem with parking. Sao Bras is a very familiar place to us, and is a great base for visiting other areas in the Algarve. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Casa Nobre.

Portugal's distinct architecture, natural beauty, warm weather and people stole my heart. I love sharing my traditional villa with travellers from around the world who appreciate the Algarvian architecture. I'm delighted to provide recommendations of local attractions to ensure my guests have a comfortable stay.

Why they chose this property

The historic area retains its rustic charm with quiet streets and local cafes offering delicious regional cuisine. At night it is like stepping back in time when the warm glow of the street lamps light the calçada streets. Steeped in history part of the Roman road leading to Faro is less than a five minute walk away. This road was part of Antoninus' Itinerary XXI, one of the main routes of ancient Lusitania, linking different Roman settlements. In summer, the municipal swimming pool, is open and less than five minutes away on foot. With friendly and sincere neighbours in the historic district it makes the place a community.

What makes this property unique

Built in 1901, this traditional Portuguese house retains many of its original features. The property benefits from high ceilings, original Moorish dome ceilings, natural stone window frames and double glazed doors onto the exterior. The exterior patio is covered with hand made Santa Catarina tiles and a roof top terrace offering a glimpse of traditional roof tops. It has been renovated in a simple, timeless manner offering the perfect balance of charm and comfort.
