The Pond House is a two-bedroom, one-bath retreat on our working farm near Fallston and Shelby, NC. With a wide covered porch, open farm views, and a touch of rustic charm, it’s the perfect getaway for couples, small families, or friends seeking peace and fresh country air.

Thank you to our host Mary. She gave us a complimentary sample of their farm-raised beef which was delicious! We also enjoyed our coffee on the deck while watching the family of geese on the pond. We absolutely loved this little gem of a house! Especially waking up to see the mist rolling across the pond and the cows looking at us over the fence. It had everything e needed (except maybe some extra hooks for bath towels). We will be back!

This is a peaceful retreat for a family. The kitchen was well-equipped with pots and pans and dishes for a family who plans to cook. The linens and towels were high-quality. We did not use the sofa sleeper. It would be a bit tight for a group larger than 4 people with only one bathroom. The host is getting internet set up which will be an enhancement for watching tv. We really enjoyed the beautiful porch and the gas-fireplace on the deck!
