About this property
The Lens Lodge
*NEW TO VRBO BUT A GUEST FAVORITE ON "THE OTHER BOOKING PLATFORM THAT STARTS WITH AIRB..." (; WITH OVER 215 REVIEWS AT 4.98 STARS, 2 YEARS IN OPERATION, SUPERHOST STATUS, AND THE GUEST FAVORITE BADGE!*
Ever dreamed of sleeping in the lens of a camera on the top of a mountain with breathtaking views? Yeah, us too! In this OMG!
Fund-winning stay you will sleep in the lens roughly 15 feet above the ground with a full circular window allowing you to see the beautiful mountainscape from bed. Secluded between two of North Ga's most popular mountain towns, this modern camera themed house is the perfect balance of fun and luxury, from polaroids to document your stay to a luxury rainfall shower.
The space:
Inspired with a loft style in mind this unique rental has a spacious open layout with the only doors and walls being for the bathroom.
You will sleep on a memory foam king bed in the lens of the camera which almost feels like a separate room, however there are no walls between that and the rest of the house.
The rest of the home includes:
- A full kitchen including all appliances, kitchenware, and a 9x4ft island.
-A large modern bathroom with a ceiling mounted rainfall shower head and backlit smart mirror.
- Hidden laundry room in the bathroom.
-Dining area with a modern glass dining room table.
-Living room with a big L couch (pulls out into a bed that comfortably sleeps 2 adults), coffee table, tv, and electric fireplace.
-500 + square foot deck with a 4-person hot tub, 4 rocking chairs, a grill, and 2 mini tables.
-Firepit area with log seating. Smores supplies are also provided. 4 lawn chairs are provided for seating as well.
-2 acres of privacy and woods to explore.
-K-cups, creamers, tea, spices, and backup toiletries are all provided as well.
Guest access:
Guests can access every part of the house other than the crawl space under the house where I keep the utilities. You can also explore and will have all to yourself the full 2 acres of beautiful mountain land that the property sits on!
Other things to note:
Distances to a few of the main attractions:
Towards Blue Ridge:
17 minutes to Toccoa Valley Campground rafting and tubing
20 minutes to Blue Ridge tubing
35 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge
Toward Ellijay:
15 minutes to Ellijay Outfitters (tubing and rafting)
18 minutes to BJ Reese apple orchard and ciderhouse
20 minutes to R and A apple orchard
25 minutes to downtown Ellijay
4 popular Wineries/Vineyards less than 30
minutes away!
And so much more!
This property is nestled evenly between all the fun attractions and activities Ellijay and Blue Ridge both have to offer while maintaining its secluded, tucked away, mountain house feel.
Neighborhood highlights:
This property is at the top of a relatively steep (see below) gravel street of houses that are all spaced pretty far apart. Most properties on my street are 1.5-2 acres and aren’t very visible to the other houses (if at all). As we’re one of the last and highest houses on the street (and the county maintained part of the road ends right above my house) cars very rarely drive by.
*The road up to the property is a relatively steep gravel road and sometimes bumpy in a few places. It is county maintained and I have seen it done in all types of cars (small Honda Accords, big cars, 2WD, construction vans, I did it in a uhaul truck, etc.), however if you have the choice of bringing a more off road worthy car rather than your cool BMW I’d recommend bringing the more all terrain car.*
Parking:
This property has quite a long driveway where at least 5 cars could park and parking on our side of the street in the tree line is totally acceptable as well as very few cars ever go through there and there’s plenty of room for it.

About the host
Hosted by Matthew FitzPatrick

I graduated from Auburn university in 2021 with a degree in marketing, got my Georgia real estate license (I’m from ATL), and like any good gen z decided to travel the world instead. I worked on super yachts around the world for over 3 years. I’m now coming back to my passion of real estate and bringing my love for extreme customer service from years of catering to billionaires and celebrities on luxury superyachts with me. (:
