The Cottage in the Historic South Main Arts District, Walk Everywhere Downtown

The Cottage in the Historic South Main Arts District in downtown Memphis overlooks the Civil Rights Museum, the Lorraine Motel and is within walking distance of Beale Street, FedEx Forum, Blues Foundation Museum, The Orpheum and all Memphis in May activities. The Main Street Trolley runs directly to the Memphis Convention Center.

Part of a 2 building residence on historic S. Main Street, the Cottage has undergone a complete renovation in 2017 with a New Orleans style flair. It is centrally located on the trolley line and within walking distance to lots of shopping and great restaurants.

Owner lives on property and will greet guests most of the time during regular check in hours. Smart lock codes will be given outside of those times.

A maximum of 4 guests unless preapproved by owner prior to booking. Additional fees apply to more than 4 guests.

Two night minimum with the exception of Memphis in May activities. BSMF is a 3 night minimum and BBQ Fest is a 4 night minimum.

No cancellation refunds for bookings during holidays or special events to include all Memphis in May activities, International Blues Contest, River Arts Festival and all MLK activities.

The Cottage was as advertised in every way. The kitchen was well stocked with all needs for cooking etc. It was very secure location and walk friendly. The porch was perfect since weather was perfect to sit out. great restaurants near by. Will use again if need arises.

Quiet Place Super location

We have booked the Cottage for several years for the St. Jude's race weekend. It is an easy 10 minute walk to downtown events spaces and restaurants.

Perfect for Two

Private and quiet with off street parking. Trolley line just up the block. Restaurants and a great whole foods grocery a block away. Easy walk to Beale St.areas.

Adorable Cottage

So many things to do within walking distance. This was a perfect location and we had a relaxing trip and loved the area and cottage. Rhonda was very attentive and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend getaway. Thank you for everything. We highly recommend and we will definitely return.

Location!

This was a perfect location right in the middleof downtown Memphis just steps from the National Civil Rights Museum, excellent food, and sites. As the description pointed out, it is a cottage, so it worked well for our family with two small children; however, it would be most ideal as a couple’s getaway. The host was great and met us when we arrived as the location is a guest house. Amenities were also very nice. While we didn’t stay long, the cottage would have been comfortable enough without the kids to have stayed for an extended period with access to a kitchen, living area, outdoor space, and laundry on site.

A Lovely Cottage Oasis in Bustling Memphis

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it was longer. Our hosts couldn’t be nicer and more accommodating towards us. We were hours late due to eclipse traffic and they didn’t hesitate to wait on us for a late check-in. The cottage was outfitted with all we needed and then some. The location was so convenient to all that we wanted to see and do; we even enjoyed more attractions than planned, because of the close proximity. Thank you, Rhonda, for a perfectly wonderful pexperience!

We had the most fantastic time. The Cottage was absolutely perfect and we had the perfect hosts as well. Had everything in the Cottage we could want with lots of extras, too. Close to downtown activities and venues with good entertainment and good eats. Easy walking distance to everything. I would recommend this Cottage to anyone. These folks did it up right! Was always available for questions and suggestions. Can’t thank them enough for time spent in their place.

Wonderful space great communication easy check in. Perfect neighborhood for getting where I wanted to go. It’s most suitable for couple- not crawling people. Great bathroom & kitchen facilities. Wow, just wow!This was the perfect rental and perfect location for our Memphis stay to start our Tennessee vacation. There are just so many superlatives... location, thoughtfulness for what the renters might need, coziness, suggestions for the local market a block away, and the bed was super comfortable! Rhonda has created the perfect spot so very close to downtown Memphis, but just far enough away from Beale street that you're in your own oasis. The National Civil Rights museum was across the street, as was Central BBQ ((fabulous ribs), and Bar Hustle was a block away for great drinks and happy hour prices! It was simply the perfect VRBO getaway. Thanks again Rhonda!

Excellent location to a variety of tourist attractions that are within walking distance. Everything you would need is within walking area of The Cottage. Knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating hosts. Would stay here again if we ever make it back to Memphis. We only wished we could have stayed longer because we enjoyed it so much there.

Great little cottage!

Hostess, Rhonda, is adorable! Place is great! Easy to find. Great location down town-right next to the National Civil Rights Museum-but off the main street. Walked and scootered to Beale Ave, waterfront excursions and restaurants. (Be aware of the non-use areas with the scooters.) Graceland is 15 minutes by car. Like that the TV can be seen from the bed or the couch. Big beautiful shower. Full kitchen. Comfortable bed. Electronics charging ports a plus! Laundry machine. Does provide a hair dryer but not shampoo or laundry detergent (not stated in listing.) Walgreens is within walking distance! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely rent again!
