Great retreat

Beautiful property right on the water. Secluded and peaceful yet just a short drive to St. Michaels. Plenty of things to do and sights to see or just sit back and stare at the water. Could not have been more perfect a getaway.

A glorious place of respite

This is a gorgeous, serene spot, and the home is warm and welcoming (as is the owner). The kitchen is well equipped and the living space is super-comfy. Plus it is very close to St. Michaels, where great restaurants and fun shops beckon. We loved it!

Long weekend retreat near St.Michaels

Lovely, peaceful, relaxing home on the water. We enjoyed grilling, fishing, reading in the cozy sunroom and walking through the town of St. Michaels. We went to the Saturday farmers market and later to the Crab Claw as we watched the boats go by. Fun weekend!

Beautiful property

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The spot is beautiful and peaceful. The home is so cozy and charming. Enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock. The crabs we definitely biting! We felt very comfortable and didn’t want to leave. St Michael’s is a quaint, lovely town with plenty of good food and drinks. We will be back!

Wonderful Stay!

Liv was a fantastic hostess! The property was private and secluded while still EXTREMELY close and convenient to Downtown St. Michaels. We went down with friends for the half marathon, and had a sunny relaxing afternoon lounging by the dock and in the yard after a long run. PERFECT kickoff to summer.

St. Michaels Adventure

We were enchanted by this property-the private and extensive lawn offered great privacy. The vacation cottage was beautifully maintained, with great views, fire logs provided which we used in the fire pit (but could have used in the living room's fireplace), comfortable seating, functional kitchen and lovely bedroom with a sunporch! We loved this property and hope to return.

Peace and Nature’s Beauty in Abundance

Absolutely beautiful property and comfortable home. If you crave a private getaway, yet close to restaurants and Saint Michaels, this is the vacation home for you. We enjoyed every single aspect of our stay and the owner was incredibly responsive and kind. Fish off the private dock, relax and then kayak in the cove. Peace and quiet is found here!!! Will absolutely return and highly recommend!

Great Quiet Getaway

This property was exactly as described. It was a great place for a long weekend. We took advantage of the Kayaks and had several great meals within a 10 minute drive. The kitchen was well stocked, but we preferred to take advantage of the local restaurant options and the chance to spend time in St. Michaels. The view from the home and outside chairs was much prettier than the listing showed. Overall, we had a great stay.

Bay rental

We throughly enjoyed our stay! We used the bikes and kayaks with no issue. The property is as advertised. Quiet with lots of lawn space and a nice dock to launch the kayaks. Rabbits and turtles and frogs were our neighbors. We would definitely rent it again!

Much more than expected.

The house was clean and very comfortable. The property was well taken care of and our dog had plenty of room to run (and explore). Being fishermen - we were on the dock everyday. Though the dock could use some repair, it was sufficient for our needs. We had a very good time.

Great for a girls weekend!

This house was perfect for a girls reunion weekend! The house was clean and comfortable. We were able to spend entire days outside on the lawn chairs, at the dock, and playing croquet on the lawn. The cell reception and internet is a bit spotty, but it's out in the country so that wasn't unexpected (just be prepared). There was a slight mixup with the linens, but the owner addressed it promptly. All in all, I would highly recommend this place!

Wonderful secluded property

The highlight of this VRBO is the bucolic, private, wooded location. The dwelling is nice, but the large grass area, huge trees, and the view of the water was the most enjoyable part of our stay. Our dog loved the freedom to run around and explore. The dwelling is surrounded by huge decks, and there are ample Adirondack chairs on the lawn surrounding a fire pit. There is a gas grill as well as a charcoal grill. There were a few bumps at first regarding the refrigerator, but the host was quick to react (i.e. just turn on the circuit breaker). The living quarters is "nice", but most will spend most of their time outside. It is a short drive to St. Michaels where we picked up steamed crabs and brought them back to eat on the umbrella shaded deck. We will definitely come back.

Peace and privacy right on the Eastern Shore

The cottage at Leadenham Cove is a beautiful place to spend time away from everyday life and just be with your family and friends. Liv is an incredibly thoughtful host, from providing starter supplies of paper towels, spices, toilet paper, bug spray, etc to leaving courteous notes so you know what each light switch is for. The home is cozy and has everything you could need including a stocked movie and book library as well as WiFi. The beautiful room off of the master provides the perfect spot for reading. Sunsets on the dock are not to be missed! You won't believe the vibrant colors. Be sure to bring your dog; they will love the freedom of roaming the ample yard. Privacy and peace abound here. Our family of 6 had a lovely vacation and couldn't be more thankful to Liv for her incredible hospitality!

Wonderful and Private!

Our family stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. We had a wonderful time. The property sits back on a private lane and opens up to a beautiful mowed green grass with lot with pretty trees and overlooks the bay. We brought our boat and it was very easy to navigate the water and lots of great fishing spots. We brought our crab traps and caught crabs right off the dock. The house was clean and adorable! The beds were comfortable and linens were top notch. The master bedroom was so open and even had a sunroom attached to the master bedroom. If you love reading you'll find a library off the living room with plenty of books. There were also games and lots of movies too! The cottage has a wrap around deck with lots of doors and light. If you like privacy you'll find it here! We hope to come back again. Thanks Liv!

This was my third stay in four years at Liv's beautiful cottage. I think I go over as much for my dog, who loves chasing balls and rabbits across the expansive lawn. Lots of birds to watch and listen to, using my birdsong identification app.The kitchen is well-equipped for most every need. But who wants to cook when there are so many great restaurants in St. Michaels (10 minutes away) and Easton (30 minutes away)? The last two days of my stay were pleasantly cool for mid-June, so I spent most of Sunday reading in one of the chairs in the sunroom with the breeze blowing through the house. It was so relaxing!I (and the dog) are looking forward to another trip back next year, perhaps earlier in the season to take advantage of those breezes without having to rely on the A/C.

Fun loving, caring mother of two who co-owns a company with her husband and wants to share her favorite vacation spot with like-minded individuals.

Why they chose this property

Living in the city has its perks, but there is something about frequenting a getaway that calms the soul. My husband and I chose to buy this property because our hectic lives needed some slowing down without distractions. We love The Lodge at Leadenham Cove because we have solidified our relationships with friends and family by having them join us in a wholesome and soothing environment.

What makes this property unique

My favorite part of staying at the cove is sitting in the Adirondack chairs with friends for hours catching up, and genuinely enjoying each others company. The Catalpa, Magnolia, and Pine trees give the space a unique park-like setting, that never grows tired. At night, I love to serve dinner to my guests on the deck below a Maple tree decorated with hanging lamps that my daughter refers to as The Great Hall from Harry Potter.
