The Neighborhood:

Opal Suites is located on vibrant Calle 38 Norte, in the heart of Zazil-Ha. Just a short walk away, a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and cafes cater to all tastes. The beach is just an 8-minute walk away, perfect for enjoying the sun and sea. A five-minute walk takes you to the famous Quinta Avenida, filled with shops and entertainment. For foodies, Cueva del Chango, with its excellent selection of restaurants, is a 10-minute walk away. If you're looking for an adventure, Dan Sailing tours are a 15-minute walk away. And for a longer beach walk, Punta Esmeralda is about 35 minutes away.



Getting Around:

To facilitate your mobility, we offer an efficient taxi service (consult the host). We also offer private transfers to cenotes and exciting jungle adventures. You can also take the ferry to Cozumel. To explore the area, we recommend using a bicycle or renting a car. The Cozumel ferry station is a 10-minute drive away, Cenote Jardín del Edén is 30 minutes away, Puerto Morelos is 40 minutes away, the Tulum ruins and beach area are 1 hour and 8 minutes away, and Cancun Airport is 1 hour and 20 minutes away. You can arrange car rental through the host.



Other Things to Note:

Opal Suites - Clean, safe and modern

My wife and I enjoyed our 3-night stay at Opal 202. It is a modern studio apartment conveniently located. I arrived around 8 pm and they had my room key waiting for me with security at reception. The bed was very comfortable. Kitchen amenities were nice. We did not use the rooftop pool but the area looked amazing. Room cleaning was included and it was thorough and very well done. Parking was available at the underground parking. Staff was very helpful. My only complaint is the morning street noise mainly from construction and motorcycles. I would stay there again.

Very nice physical unit. Too much street noise for me to want to come back.

Would have liked much more fresh air, but WAY too noisy to have sliding door open. Bathroom was nice! Shower lovely. Put in some hooks or towel bars. Guests need somewhere for wet towels & cosmetic bags, etc. Please have some instructions for operating that crazy electric cook top. A few more kitchen things, like smaller kettles & covers for the pot & fry pans. Impossible to cook a breakfast. The things that look like salt & pepper shakers should have pepper in it! NOT instant coffee! We ruined a breakfast meal thinking that the matching shaker to the salt, had pepper in it. WHY would anyone put instant coffee in that & not label it? The ad for the unit said there was Netflix, but you didn’t have it set up. Guests should NOT have to try to set up & uninstall their own account. If it’s not readily available, don’t list it as an amenity. Rooftop pool was very nice. How about adding some shade for those of us from US & CANADA who aren’t ready for full sun exposure & burns. Reception staff were great.

The apartment is just like the photos. Everything was brand new, modern, clean and first quality. The apartment has all the appliances and supply you need. Laura was great in every way, especially the communication and the staff very friendly. I recommend it!!!
