Stunning westerly views of Penobscot Bay, Pumpkin Island Lighthouse, and Eggemoggin Cove. First floor bedroom with two twin beds and adjoining full bathroom. Open floor living room, dining area, and kitchen with separate breakfast area adjacent to greenhouse. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms. The master bedroom with cathedral ceiling has a queen size bed and balcony overlooking the water. Relax with your morning coffee as schooners silently sail by. The second bedroom includes a full size bed. A 2nd full bathroom with tub rounds out the second floor. Free WIFI

Incredible View

This is a very comfortable home with an incredible view in a great location. Rob and Nancy were very helpful—next door but not intrusive. There is so much to do in the area—we hiked, kayaked, explored the little coves and charming towns and ate our fill of lobster. But be sure to leave plenty of time for just sitting on the porch and soaking up the view of Pumpkin Island especially at sunset.

Your host

Rob & Nancy grew up and live in New Jersey when not in Maine. Our two children in their twenties are finishing school and working. Bentley, our young European Creme retriever, accompanies us to Maine each summer.

Why they chose this property

After vacationing in this beautiful area of Maine for many years, we bought our second home in 2011 so we could enjoy living in Maine through the summer season. Our property is unique in that two homes sit side by side appearing as one. We've decided to rent the "newer" side (built in 1989) so others can share in this relaxing place, close enough to the essentials needed, yet away from everything else, and only an hour's ride to Bar Harbor and renowned Acadia National Park. We keep the "older" side built in 1916 for our family so an owner will be onsite to address any questions you may have during your stay.
