Enjoyed our stay here and it was lovely that we could bring our dog with us. Thank you to the owner for welcoming us, just a pity we couldn’t stay longer!
Wonderful hosts in a little slice of Victorian history. The cattle owner's mansion juxtaposed against the Monash House designed for academics studying the lakes around Coragulac was quite special.

About the host
Hosted by Garry Gibson
A seasoned Hotelier who has been in Hospitality for more than 30 years, for pleasure we like to renovate period homes. Coragulac House has been by far our biggest project. We are developing the property into a Tourism Attraction and Events Venue, we do private guided tours of the Homestead and also afternoon teas and lunches by appointment. Wedding receptions and ceremonies are held in the original coach house and stables. Monash Cottage provides accommodation for our guests and guests have the ability to explore the grounds and outbuildings on this 140 acre property.
Why they chose this property
Coragulac House is a significant property with a wonderful history, many people have told us they have admired the property from afar but have never had an opportunity to see inside. Now we open the property regularly for both public and private events, it is such a pleasure to tell people about the history of the property and share our story and the history of previous owners. Monash Cottage has its own story and history which we also share with information in the cottage outlining its past.
What makes this property unique
Coragulac House is a beautiful building with 30 + rooms, it is truly a splendid property and we are so blessed to be able to call this home. We believe it is our responsibility to not only be custodians, maintaining and improving the property but also to share giving others the opportunity to see and feel the Homesteads history. The property is also a working farm being 140 acres of grazing with dairy cattle, there are also donkeys and goats. Red Rock Scenic lookout sits just behind the property, guests can take a leisurely stroll up the hill which provides extraordinary views of the area, Coragulac House and Monash Cottage sit a the foot of Red Rock so visitors can see both properties from this location
