About this property
Perfect country home with excellent pool-view to Pyrenees
CASA COSMIA has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms which makes it ideal for a large group of friends or a large family. CASA COSMIA has an extremely nice dining area as well as living room. Almost all the baths are master bathrooms with direct entrance from the private bedroom. It is situated at the foot of the Carpalot mountains which create a quite unique view. A must for the 'choosy. The game facilities will please the children as there is table tennis and table football on the property. There is a large, fenced swimming pool, plenty of sun-chairs and a large covered terrace, suitable for BBQ.
CASA COSMIA provides a perfect base for relaxation and a place you will love to return to after a long day discovering Catalonia. 10 km. to Berga the region capitol with 20.000 inhabitants, 30 km. to Manresa where you´ll se the mountains of Montserrat and 40km to the beautiful maintained historical town Vic, with its traditional Market on the Main Square: every Tuesday and Saturdays.
Catalonia - Spain: Catalonia, Spain has a distinct regional identity that borrows little form the rest of Spain. Catalans have their own language, and are intensely proud of their unique art, cuisine, folklore and long history. Ask the Catalans themselves and many will tell you that Catalonia is not a region but a nation. Not surprisingly, rivalry between the Catalans and the rest of Spain is an ongoing part of this country's history.
Catalans pride themselves on good eating too, and you will find some of Spain's finest restaurants here. Catalan food is typically Mediterranean, featuring olive oil as its staple component. As the region is so geographically diverse, it provides a variety of fresh high quality meat, poultry, game, seafood, fruit and vegetables and a great variety of wild mushrooms.
All in all Catalonia offers no end of opportunities for day trips and adventures, that together with its excellent communications, makes of Catalonia a top-class tourist destination in Europe.
Central Catalonia - The true Spain: Central Catalonia is situated where the Llobregat-river winds it is way from the Pyrenees down towards Barcelona. It is not heavily populated, and in the small town and villages you blend in with local life. The region is ideal for families or groups, who want a diversified vacation.
The landscape at the entrance to the Pyrenees is dominated by small rivers, hills, fields and forest. From almost any point, you have view to the steep Pyrenees that raise in the distance, probably some of the most beautiful mountains of the world. The area provides excellent conditions for a variety of sports- and outdoor activities, such as hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, angling, canoeing, river crafting or perhaps a visit to the owners farm.
Central Catalonia is situated in 400-800 metres altitude and has more than 300 sunny days on a year. If you visit the region in the spring or the autumn, most days will be pleasant, with temperatures from 18-25 degrees in the day time.
Activities - Here you can do almost anything: Finally Catalonia offers a wide range of activities to suit all ages and levels of fitness: Skiing (in winter), swimming, horse back riding, cycling, hiking, golfing, ... there are endless possibilities.
We offer a vacation in your particular pace, where you blend in with the open-minded and friendly Catalans. Enjoy the silence in the small hills in the pre-Pyrenees. Enjoy sports and outdoor activities as walking, canoeing, beach life at the Costa Brava Coast or mountain biking. Or scamper about in the lively street- and café life in the Catalan towns. which together with its excellent communications, makes of Catalonia a top-class tourist destination in Europe.
Or how about watching a football match along with 98.917 other spectators on FC Barcelona's legendary Camp Nou ? The best advise is to come to Catalonia, Spain and see for yourself.
In this part of Catalonia is also plenty of great beaches - at the Costa Brava Coast.

About the host
Hosted by Bertel Dahlmand Stahn
Lisbeth and I have for 14 years been travelling all over Catalonia to visit properties. We have selected those, which we found of very good standard and situated in authentic settings.
In the beginning, we mostly had Danish clients, but now we help people from all over the world to have a nice holiday in Catalonia in collaboration with our fantastic homeowners.
Our company SYDENS FERIEHUSE consists now besides us of our kind employees, Gustav, Emma and Mathias. We will all be happy to help you to a fantastic holiday!
Our philosophy is that a nice holiday consists of a nice holiday home and then some nice activities and excursions during the stay. We have made Activity documents for each part of Catalonia with our personal recommendations, and we will also be happy to help with any kind of question or request you might have. It is part of our service :-)
Kind regards,
Bertel Dahlmand Stahn (owner)
