The property was exactly as described. Everything you need was provided, they even had honey, olive oil, Pam, spices, tea and coffee. FYI, there is no water or ice maker on the fridge. They have provided a Britta water jug to use which was convenient. My only suggestions would be add a bag of ice to the freezer for every guest and whisk and mixing bowls to the cupboards. I would definitely stay again!
Jewel box apartment! Beach location and pristine clean. 3 houses from Alamitos Bay! Decorated with comfortable furnishings. Photos on VRBO authentic. Apartment is upstairs. I’m handicapped with difficulty climbing stairs. However I was able to manage. Super hostess Kim communicates effectively and answers quickly. Slept great on Queen size bed. Linens were soft & fluffy. Fully stocked kitchen, towels & blankets. I appreciated the Beach breeze through the windows. A/C and heating provided. My favorite activities were peaceful walks along the bay, watching sailboats and paddle boards go by. Plenty of restaurants and shops along “2nd Street”. I plan on booking again.
We received our check in notification while we’re at the airport. Our flight was delayed 1 hour and arrival at LAX also late. So I missed a communication with the owners but did receive the entry code. I was concerned about finding the apartment in the dark but the owners were on the street looking out for us which was very nice. The location was great. Near the bay with easy ocean access. Parking was occasionally challenging but no different than most Belmont or peninsula locations. There was some unseasonal hot days but the AC was effective. There was construction going on at a location next door but did not disturb our sleep hours. It is a second story apt but was only a problem carrying luggage but otherwise fine. We did feel Cosy was a good description. If I had known that our coffee maker was a Keurig I would have brought my own cups. Overall it was close to my brothers and sisters in the area so that was great. My husband loved the artwork.
This property was cozy and comfortable. If you do not know the area here are a few things to be mindful of. There are no views because it is over a garage in the ally. However, a few steps and you can be on the bay. If you are looking for waves, you might want to drive down to a different beach. You can walk to the end of the peninsula and see both sides of the bay. This location is calm and quiet and the people were friendly. The bed was so comfortable! The ac is actually a portable unit in the living room. This was fine for me, but my husband would get hot at night. There is also no laundry capabilities in the unit. We did a load at my daughter’s college. One downfall is the lack of parking. There were times we had to park three blocks away and walk. I felt safe because I was with my husband, but would not have liked that alone. There is an excellent restaurant called the Breakfast Republic that is a must visit. Overall, it was a great trip and the Vrbo was nice.
