A contemporary oceanfront home with deep-water ocean frontage on the Penobscot Bay. Enjoy watching the tides gently rise and fall from this elevated site in one of Stonington’s most sought after areas. Elsmere is perfectly perched above the rugged Maine coast line and provides large and beautiful views of the ocean from almost every room in the home.
Elsmere is a two bedroom and one bathroom house in a quiet, off the beaten path location. There is a large kitchen with warm woodwork, granite countertops, and an adjacent dining area which enjoys the amazing elevated views of the bay. The kitchen has a dishwasher, many small appliances and service for four. The home has a comfortable and stylish living area with Roku streaming services on the TV and great views of the ocean. The living room has sliding glass doors that open to a deck system that wraps around the water side of the home.
Elsmere has two bedrooms. The first has a Full bed, two end tables and a dresser. The primary bedroom has a sliding glass door - which ties in to the homes seaside deck system. The deck enjoys expansive views of the Maine coastline and western exposure for lovely sunsets. The second bedroom at Elsmere has two twin beds, a dresser and a closet.
Elsmere has access to a beautiful sandy beach shared with two other cottages. This little pocket beach is lovely for launching your kayak, beach combing, swimming, or just relaxing. Elsmere is a short walk to Sand Beach and just a couple of miles from the scenic village of Stonington. Come and enjoy some downtime in this coastal retreat in Maine.
* Elsmere does not have potable water. Guests will be expected to provide water resources during their stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing (email is acceptable) and received by the Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the Guests’ scheduled arrival date. Cancellations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental funds received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall make a good-faith effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the reserved rental term. No refund of rents paid will be made until the cancelled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the cancelled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the new rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate will be deducted from the rental returned to the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rental funds paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages.
This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise which might cause one to cancel vacation plans. Life happens and we don’t want you to lose your deposit. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants. I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibility of claims.
