Sold in the 13th century to the Bonafos’ family, the castle has undergone major improvements during 5 centuries. You can see the family’s coat of arms under the keystone of the chapel. It’s in 1712 that the Costa de Beaulieu family bought the castle. They will leave it in a state of abandonment a few years later. In 1936 Robert de Solignac, a distant descendant of the Bonafos, took in hand the destiny of the place, which he undertakes to restore. After his untimely death, the new owner endeavored to resurrect the building by giving it back its original appearance.
