This bright, colorful and recently (2025) fully renovated studio apartment is located in the very city center of Heraklion on the 1st floor in a modern apartment building. The most city's attractions and main public transport are in a walking distance, offering frequent connections to the airport, beaches, Knossos archaeological site, etc. The indoor size of the studio is 25m2 and there is also a nice comfortable balcony suitably configured for your relaxation. It is suitable for 1 or 2 guests (couples, solo adventurers and business travelers) and consists of a central room with one comfortable double bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. It is fully furnished with bedside table, wardrobe, office desk, 32 Led TV, A/C, coffee machine and washing machine. Central heat and free Wi-Fi is also provided. Generally you will find everything you need for a very pleasant stay!

Perfect central location

Great location for exploring central Heraklion and the old town, port and museums. Compact but very well equipped first floor studio. The air con was appreciated as temperatures hit 35 degrees!

A Short stay in a convenient location

We only stayed two nights at this location. It was convenient to shopping and a short walk to the port and bus station. The place was well furnished and I appreciated the small extras like tissues, a hand-held mirror, and power converters. The host communicated well. I would stay here again if I ever had the opportunity to return.

Well located / nicely designed

The apartment had everything needed for a stay in Heraklion, including a well supplied kitchen. We were able to walk to shops, restaurants and museums. The bus to Knossos was a few blocks away. The owner, Yiannis, welcomed us at the apartment, provided us with welcoming treats and information about Heraklion. Overall, a terrific experience!

The upside was that the property was not too far from the port and the bus terminal and the room was clean.The man communicated all all the instructions via email and a written paper in the room. The downside was that the room did not look anything like the picture online. It was very outdated and the interior lock did not work well. I did not feel safe there. This was not worth the price.

The apartment was just as pictured, we especially liked having access to a washing machine. That said, I got shocked by the light above the sink and we had issues with the outlets. The host came down to help solve these isses immediately, but didnt seem to believe me about the light.There was nothing misleading in the listing and the photos are accurate, but there where a bunch of small inconveniences that made our stay difficult.The first being that after I booked our stay I received a message requesting more money because they hadn't updated their summer prices.The sliding lock on the interior door is installed weird and gets stuck so we only used the lock in the door with the key.The electricity only works when the keys are in a slot by the door. This is super inconvenient for doing laundry as the machine is very loud but you cant do laundry while your gone because you need the keys. The shower is just a half partition so no matter what the floor gets super wet.The apartment is in a convenient location (we recommend the technology museum) and its an accurate listing, but it was not a comfortable stay.

Regarding your concerns: The pricing adjustment was due to a delay in updating our seasonal rates. Once explained, you kindly agreed, and we truly appreciate your understanding. The electricity key slot is a standard energy-saving system used in most hotels and modern rentals in whole Greece, and we understand it may take a little getting used to! The shower follows the same design as many boutique hotels, with a modern glass partition, but we realize this may not match everyone’s preference. As for the maintenance issues, we will certainly check again the lights and door lock to make sure everything is in perfect order for our future guests. We always welcome constructive comments, as they help us improve! We are sorry that your overall experience did not feel fully comfortable, but we are glad that you valued the accuracy of the listing and location! We wish you all the best in your future travels! Great location, poor communication

The location of the Orange Studio can't be beat. It is walking distance to the waterfront and the shops and restaurants. It is a tiny studio, but the host was thoughtful on the way it was made up. The inclusion of little things like q-tips, stationary at the little desk area, and power convertors are things other VRBOs that i have stayed at, never included. Its a nice touch. My only downside to this VRBO was the communication. Prior to arrival, communication was ok. However the host sent pictures to me that wouldn't open in the VRBO app, showing how to access the studio. When i told him i couldn't open the pictures there was no clarification. This resulted in my husband and i arriving at the VRBO and having no way to get in. I messaged the host for half an hour with no reply. Eventually he sent someone to let us in. By then we had been outside waiting for an hour, at night, with a storm approaching. Like i said above, the studio is very cute and a nice launch pad. Just make sure you get all the info you need prior to check in. Our experience put a bit of a shadow over our stay.

Excellent little studio, very lovingly furnished and supplied with everything you might need.

Yiannis was great....we were unable to get to Heraklion until quite late, but he met our taxi driver in a street nearby and helped us in with everything. All things explained thoroughly and lots of little touches.....juice and a fresh melon for the morning; coffee and the fixings provided, note paper and a desk to work at. Comfy bed and he helped call a taxi for us for the following day. We wish we could have stayed longer. Walking distance to both the port and the town center. Highly recommend. Thank you Yiannis for all your assistance.

It will be my pleasure to host you in my studio apt that is located in the very very center of Heraklion city - just 1 minute next to famous Lions square.
I will try to make your stay here as easy and relaxed as possible!

What makes this property unique

The studio is situated in a quiet neighborhood opposite the 25th of August Street (one of the main and also the most beautiful paved pedestrian street in Heraklion) where the most beautiful Neoclassical buildings are. Lovely cafes, restaurants and shops are just around the corner.
It's only one minute on foot from the famous city’s emblem: the Lions Square (or Morosini Fountain) and the same time one minute on foot of the city’s other historical symbol: the Venetian fortress of Koules at the entrance of the harbor.
You 're a stone's throw from the famous Archaeological Museum of Heraklion (one of the largest and most important museums in Greece, where housing the major exhibits of Minoan Crete) and many others sightseen such as the Venetian Loggia (the most elegant Venetian monument in Heraklion houses the Town Hall), Basilica of St. Mark (Venetian Municipal Art Gallery), the churches of Saint Titus and Saint Minas (the patron saint of Heraklion), the Daidalou Street (the most commercial pedestrian street in the heart of Heraklion), the Venetian Walls and the coastal avenue for walking.
