We recently stayed at this WaterColor home for a 3-night girls’ trip. While the location, spacious living areas, bikes, golf cart, community pools, and WaterColor Beach Club were wonderful, our overall experience was disappointing given the cost of the home. We experienced numerous maintenance issues during our short stay. We paid to heat the pool, but it wasn’t warm until the day we left. The pool was also much smaller than it appeared in the listing—more of a “spool” than a pool. The outdoor TV and WiFi in the room above the garage wasn’t working until our last night, so we never got to use either. Other problems included a kitchen sink leak, dishwasher repair, a refrigerator that beeped constantly, curtains falling down, upstairs electrical outlets not working, balcony doors that wouldn’t lock, and noticeable wear and wood rot. Unfortunately there were frequent maintenance visits during our stay. And while the handyman was excellent—very polite, helpful, and professional, our frustration was with the timing and number of repairs during a 3-night vacation. We understand homes need maintenance, but at this price point we expected the property and advertised amenities to be ready. With better upkeep and preparation, this could be an absolutely wonderful home. Unfortunately, the number of issues took away from our girls weekend.

Not worth the price. Watercolor is a great location with nice amenities. The property is showing wear and tear in places. Curtains were falling down in several of the rooms. The door to the patio was difficult to close and needs maintenance. The pool is much smaller in person than in the listing photos. The golf cart and bicycles are managed by outside companies and it's a bit of a hassle to get them unlocked for use. The biggest reason we would not stay here again is the management company that handles this property They are difficult to get a hold of and are rude when you get them on the phone. The Internet code they gave us was incorrect and after 3 emails and a phone call they said "oops I guess you need one more number." The garage code for the side door was not the same as the house like they said it was and were incredulous when I told them it was incorrect. I asked for the garage door keypad code twice, once when we arrived (I was in a hurry and didn't write it down) and once when we left. When I spoke with the management company on the phone the woman I spoke with rudely told me "I already gave that to you!" I explained that I didn't write it down the first time and I needed it to make sure all the toys were put away for check out. Being treated like that definitely left a negative feeling about the vacation when it's the last thing you hear.
