We chose this property for its proximity to the Swim for the Lighthouse event in Islamorada in Sep 2026. Issues:1) Improve pre-arrival communications. We hadn't heard from the host prior to check-in, so after messaging them on the day of arrival, the only response was (Check in is at 3:00 pm).2) The room A/C can't keep up during daytime heat. No way you can nap in an 80-degree room with no fan. Once the sun went down, everything was fine. The bed mattress is a 5 (out of 10).3) Internet signal strength was spotty (at best). Install a wi-fi booster in the room.4) Shower pressure was marginal. The shower water temperature kept cycling from regulated to icy cold for no reason.5) There was only ONE hangar across three closets.6) The giant EXIT sign over the ONLY door in the apartment shines bright red like the Krypton sun. Disconnect it or provide a means to block it at night.7) There is an electrical outlet (on the wall to the right after you enter the room, near the baseboard) that is detached from the wall and the electrical wires are completely exposed.Positives:1) The staff downstairs was absolutely great...friendly and very helpful. Thanks for the free bag of ice to top off our cooler.2) The Marina gets pretty busy during the day with customers frequenting the bait shop downstairs. So glad we had a property parking pass.3) The Tarpon feeding area never gets old. We saw huge tarpon and nurse sharks who are obviously used to being fed. Awesome!
