Lakefront villa in Mistico Comunidad de Playa, nestled between Quebrada Amarilla’s mountains and Playa Hermosa’s world-class surf. This 3-bedroom home features private bathrooms, modern kitchen, terrace, and private pool overlooking the lake. Enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, biking, hiking, horseback riding, restaurants, and a private beach club—all in a secure gated community just 1h40 from San José. Our home has 3 bedrooms all on the second level with a king size bed in the master bedroom and queen size beds in bedrooms 2 and 3. Each bedroom has its own private full bathroom with showers. Each bedroom has a closet with built-in drawers, shelves, and hangers for your belongings. Each bedroom has its own AC unit, controller and ceiling fan. There is a full bathroom on the first floor. The first-floor kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer with filtered water dispenser, oven, electric stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender and food processor, dish/utensil service for 8. The kitchen is stocked with cooking accessories, bowls, serving ware, baking ware.

The first floor also has a family room with 65" TV, dining area for seating of 6, and 3 counter stools. Wifi is available throughout the unit. There is a washer/dryer unit in the laundry room. Our unit faces a small semi-private beach area with a nice lake that you can kayak or use a paddle board (not provided by owner). The view outside our unit faces the lake and is very picturesque. We have a table and chairs for six on the patio. There is a small dipping pool to soak your cares away.

The gated community Mistico is nestled in what was formerly an agriculture site, surrounded by lush vegetation, rivers, lakes. You often see lots of birds and occasional wildlife like capuchin monkeys. The development has walking and biking paths as well. It's beautiful community with well-kept gardens and areas to relax. Mistico is about 20 minutes south of the major town Jaco which is filled with restaurants, bars, entertainment, and shopping including several grocery stores. They also have a nice beach. Mistico has a beach as well but it's largely a surfing beach so waves can be quite large and rip tides can be dangerous. It's great for wading and swimming close to the shoreline.

About an hour south of us is Manual Antonio National Park. This is one of the premier National Parks in all of Costa Rica. We highly recommend visitors take a trip there for a day. There are walking trails with lots of wildlife and even a beach area to swim in. You can not take any food in the park. On-line reservations are required. Some people will hire a guide as well as these guides know the plants, flowers, birds and wildlife habitats (sloths, monkeys, birds etc). There are many other places to visit that we recommend in the area to visit such as waterfalls, hanging bridges, or cool towns.

The entire home is available to guests.

This is a gated community with on-site security. Mistico is very family oriented. Large groups or parties are not welcome. Mistico is a very new development and while our home and surrounding homes are completed, there is some construction taking place in other parts of the community with new homes going up and some roads still being developed and paved.
