For over 25 years, I’ve journeyed from my beginnings as a youth street vendor, dishwasher, and waiter to becoming the founding CEO of a Cambodian world-class brand that set a Guinness World Record in the middle of the COVID crisis. My life is living proof of the transformative power of travel and storytelling. I understand what makes a destination experience not only memorable but truly transformative — for both visitors and locals.

I am a bridge between cultures, fluent in Khmer, English, and French. My 25-year career with airlines like Vietnam Airlines and Asiana gave me a "survival kit" of conversational phrases in Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, Chinese, and a sprinkle of Japanese. I love using these to navigate local life, find the best food, and surprise people I meet with a well-placed phrase—a curiosity that deeply shapes my style of hospitality.

From Cambodia to world stages, as the founding CEO of Phare Circus and Phare Studio, I have shared stories of "Cambodianess" and resilience. Whether traveling with our artists to stages or standing on those stages myself, my mission has always been to carry our enduring stories to the world. One of our proudest moments was performing before more than 5,000 people at the Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston, Texas, in 2015 with both the Cambodian and Phare flags flying high.

Beyond hospitality, I mentor youth, artists, and entrepreneurs through Enterprise Vision Academy, which I co-founded, which aspires to become Cambodia’s Oxford-style executive training program. This journey has led me to discover my mission in life — my Ikigai, confirmed through the Ikigai for Leaders methodology facilitated by my dear friend and partner, Hélène Veal, the first Cambodian ICF-certified Coach at the PCC level.

We offer four curated Experience Tracks along with our Daily Cultural or Wellness Touches program — a value‑add beyond standard villa rates. Book for a minimum of two nights and leave the rest to Dara Huot and the Daraism & Artists team. Each day, you’ll be immersed in activities and encounters that reflect Dara’s expertise and passion for cultural storytelling, wellness, and authentic connection.

Track 2: The Transformative Host (Social Impact)
“Inspire a Dream in Hospitality!” If not utilizing all six rooms, we invite you to host a young Cambodian family from rural Siem Reap for one night in an empty suite — bridging worlds through shared hospitality. As a thank‑you, we arrange a meaningful, interpreted coffee chat or breakfast with the youth, allowing you to dive into their life stories and honor your generosity.
