Cozy Lake Elmore 19th Century Waterfront Duplex

This circa 1850 country-style Cape duplex is located on one acre with 180 feet of beautiful Lake Elmore frontage! The rental rate includes BOTH units and rates are based on weekly occupancy.

The duplex is located right in the center of Elmore village. It is easy 1 minute walk to the Elmore Store and an easy 2 minute walk to the Elmore State Park and Beach.

Side #1 (Sleeps 5-7) includes a main floor master bedroom with king size bed and walk in closet, a 3/4 bath, large kitchen table, full size refrigerator/freezer, electric stove, toaster oven, coffeemaker, microwave, glasses, dishes and utensils. The living room has a large picture window to view the lake. It has a queen size hide-a-bed sofa, recliner, chairs and smart TV where you can log into your Netflix or Amazon account. The upstairs has two rooms with three twin beds. ABSOLUTLEY NO PETS in Side #1.

Apartment #2 (sleeps 4-6) includes a living room on the main floor with queen size hide-a-bed sofa, chairs and a smart TV where you can log into your Netflix or Amazon account. It has a full bath, a country kitchen with farmhouse table and chairs, a full size refrigerator/freezer, electric stove, microwave, coffeemaker, glasses, dishes and utensils. The upstairs includes one bedroom with a king size bed, and one bedroom with two twin size beds.

20 MEG Wifi service is available. Wifi calling will need to be used as there is no landline. There are window and stand fans in both units. During the winter months heat is included in the rental rate.

Come and swim, float, fish from shore or boat. Enjoy a solo or family hike up the famous Elmore Mountain. Enjoy the screened lakefront Gazebo with picnic table and chairs. A gas grill is also available for guest use. Lounge on the dock, relax by the fire pit, roast marshmallows, and enjoy Lake Elmore's beauty.

If winter sports are your thing you are in luck! The duplex is right on the VAST trail so your snowmobile trip can start and stop right where you are staying. We are 40 minutes to the Stowe Mountain resort for skiing and snowboarding. If you enjoy cross county skiing the Craftsbury Outdoor Center has enough trails to last you days and it’s only 30 minutes away. Jay Peak Waterpark is 1 hour north.

Our duplex is also surrounded by lots of breweries in a 30 minute radius if that is your thing. Lost Nation brewery, Rock Art and Green Mountain distillery are all in Morrisville. Ten Bends brewery is in Hyde park, Hill Farmsted brewery is in Greensboro and the Alchemist brewery is in Stowe.

Terrific Spot

Great spot for our family vacation. We were looking for a property that could accommodate a multi generational vacation and this one knocked it out of the park. The place was clean and very well maintained considering the age and charm of an old Vermont farmhouse. Elmore store is walking distance for the necessities and the proximity to the state park is a huge bonus. The Houle family was great and I’d welcome an opportunity to come back.

Country get-away

Perfect place to get away from it all, and bring your dog, too! Many choices for long walks and hikes of all levels. 20 min to Stowe and some great dining options. Grocery stores 5 miles away if you want to eat-in.

Lake elmore

We had a great time. Very close to stores. The back yard is beautiful. Phyllis stopped by the first night to make sure we got there ok. She was super nice, also her son marquis stopped by mid week and offered us a Pontoon boat ride around the lake, we had to decline because we were exhausted from swimming and fishing all day, but it was very thoughtful and kind of him and his family to think of us. You must get some maple syrup while visiting. Overall a great time. Plan on coming back next year.

Wonderful place to stay in Lake Elmore

The property is very large, very well maintained, with a lot of amenities. The owner is wonderful and so accommodating. And the location is great - short walk to the beach, Elmore State Park and the country store. I highly recommend staying here.
